What`s your favorite CroCop-memory?

I`ve just read poudngrounds post about CroCops interview.

Reading that, I feel fairly certain that he won`t return to the Octagon. So, since he won`t be around anymore, I´ll take this opportunity to thank him for all the memories.

After some soul-searching I realised that my favorite CroCop-memory is actually not from any "real" MMA-fight,it was from when he destroyed Sapp`s jaw with one punch. And at that point in time, I actually believed *coughs* the hype surrounding The Beast.

What`s your favorite CroCopian memory?

When he KOed Igor Vovchanchyn on the ref-cam.

My least favorite would have to be his devastating high kick KO of Igor Vovchanchyn. I almost cried.

When he beat Wandy and took the 2006 Open GP

that was one devastating dude.
Also his KO of Aleks with Fedor watching. That was some heavy drama.
Plus he was the foil for two of my faves in their greatest fights — Fedor and Big Nog.
It was only by being so terrifying for so long and then fighting so well in those fights that he proved the greatness of those champions.

"Right kick--hospital. Left kick--cemetary."

That quote, and the KO of Dos Caras, Jr. Just cuz I loved the headkick, but it made me cringe to see personal favorites like Igor and Wandy take that shot to the head.

Oh I've seen them

But watching all the highlights you can find doesn’t really create “memories,” just knowledge. There’ no hype, no build up, and I’m usually alone trying to waste time, so no friends with me.

So yeah, no actual “memories”

It was the jaw

It was his orbital bone. And mirko broke it.

Hmm. You`re right sir. Orbital it was.

Fedor vs. Crocop ! That fight was amazing!

for all intents and purposes, just consider all my posts as works of satire.

this post upsets me so bad....

Going against the grain here – my least favorite memory of Mirko is when Gonzaga KO’d him with his “own” LHK. That was, essentially, the beginning of the end for Mirko’s career.

by lhasafi on Sep 21, 2009 3:27 AM EDT reply actions   0 recs

Agree. Why couldn`t Gonzaga just submit him? Did he have to throw a LHK? Damn you Gonzaga!

I could be wrong...

….but didn’t Gonzaga throw a RHK? The way CC fell with his foot all twisted was nasty….

Watching Mirko KO Aleksandr with such ferocity. Fedor watching on gave it a nice twist too.

i’d have to say when he joined the UFC and i got a chance to watch him live rather than online the next day. his first showed the reputation he had earned and had eddie sanchez circling away from the kick the entire fight.

i’ll miss crocop, but retiring is whats best.

So many great moments, but unfortunately the one that sticks in my mind now, is GG knocking his head off.

Time to go rewatch the highlights and see if I can forget that one a bit.

Two off the top of my head

Crocop leg kicking the holy hell out of Yoshida.
Crocop knocking out Igor.

Cro Cop vs Dos Caras, Jr…
He never should have been in there with CC, I know. But I enjoyed seeing DCJ taunt Mirko, then go for a fist bump and CC just kept fighting.

My favorite is a little different,

I liked when he tore that Croatian journalist a new one for badmouthing Big Nog…the opponent who had just beaten him.

He is def a class act. He was a little misunderstood sometimes I think, because his english sounds pretty good, but he doesn’t mean exactly what those words mean to Americans.
