I'm a newbie fan at best
and I recognized 12 of the 14 names on the card. Yup, it’s looking like a keeper.
Jim Palmer: "I said to Nolan, 'Why do you run every ball out like that?' and he said, 'Why wouldn’t you?' "
Welcome to the dark side my friend. Interested to know which two you didn’t recognize.
Walla walla walla I'm an idiot.

Yeah, he’s concussed.

you found the 3 fighters out of 14 that fit that bill. really only 2 since tito still might have something left. best card so far!
If you don’t see the humor in noting that there are a lot of guys on this card who also would have been major draws in 2002, then there’s no helping you.
It ends in an armbar or a strangle regardless.
nah, 2002 was a great year. ufc 37.5 was the 1rst mma event to be telvised on national telvision(fox sports). i get humor when it’s meant to be funny, not snarky, which is what farthammer seemed to be doing. going by his past quotes. i need help with nothing! say something funny, i’ll laugh. lol. get it.:)
still a geat card regardless of the participants past glories. 1or 2 might just surprise a few people.
yep, they are
VITOR was a headliner back in the 90’s. he dint fare so bad last night, did he? no one was laughing at him, i do believe.
Somehow, someway, all 3 of those fighters will lose. It doesn’t even matter that two of them happen to be fighting each other. They will all lose.

I`m pretty sure they``ll only televise Carwin vs Lesnar and just fill the rest of the ppv with old re-runs.

Tito should be bettable down to about -990.
And I don`t even like Tito.
I quote Jon Jones “What would it prove? It would just be me beating up en old man..”

I said the same thing about Bonnar when he fought The Lava Monster at Ufc 100.

He could have said the same thing about a fight against Tito.

I look forward to the Hazelett-Parysian fight.

Except for the main event that will appeal to anyone, it’s a card for connoisseurs (if I may :o).
Fighters from the old days, very technical competitors like karo & hazzlet, relevant bouts that hardcores will look forward to like cane vs lil nog, + Phill baroni. This card has some real charm.
You don't look like a Tanaka.
+ Phil Baroni!
If they just had him corner everybody and make entrances it’d be ideal.
(He might still gas out though)
It ends in an armbar or a strangle regardless.
Carwin gets hit standing right infront of you… Brock gets hit mostly in transition.
Brock needs to follow the heath herring model to a T. Throw early and get carwin on his back asap.
If this fight becomes a stand up fight its close to a coin toss. If I had to pick one guy who has the best chance – currently – of beating brock I’d say Carwin.
And i thought
my 9-5 sucked. No doubt Kirk Klosowsky has the crappest job going. As others have already mentioned, “Mt. St. Everest”…poor dude. He’ll have been sparring with Barack Lesnar by the end of the camp.
Barack Lesnar
He claims to be built like a black man, not govern like one.

Notice if you go to the youtube channel of the video poster, they appear to have listed the weights for Brock at different dates on the left side of the page. Probably legit, since it appears to be an official page of Lesnar. Walked into the cage at 287, 276, and 289 last three fights.
Wow, how many 289 pound humans can move like that guy? He’s a freak.
Walla walla walla I'm an idiot.

looks like UFC keeps stacking Brock’s cards.
"Frank Mir had a horseshoe up his ass. I told him a year ago. I pulled it out of him and I beat him over the head with it." Brock Lesnar
Im sorry
but that is some of the WORSE technique in the world. If Brock wasnt fucking huge, he would lose alot more often.
"I will knock your hair black!"- Ken Shamrock to Tito Ortiz
That's like saying...
Kobe would suck if he didn’t have such an amazing jumper. He does have an amazing jumper, so he doesn’t suck. If Anderson didn’t have his timing, he’d suck, too.
If Brock wasn’t fucking huge, we wouldn’t even know who the hell he is.

He's pointing out a valid weakness in his game
not saying that he’s not a legit champion.

And if he was the size of frank mir,
He wouldnt be where he is now. Not saying that as a fact, just opinion. Look at his striking and ground and pound, its just not that great.

The only reason Franks face looked like that
Is because Lesnars size and strength pinned him down and he was able to land because of that. If he was Franks size that night, woulda been an entirely diffrent fight. As for Heath…i dunno, dude was just shit out of luck.

But you said his ground and pound wasn’t that great, it must be pretty effective to cause that kind of damage no matter how he does it, right?
Walla walla walla I'm an idiot.

Dude...
He’s that big, Jordan and Kobe were clutch, Brady, Montana, and Young had great wide receivers, get over it. Whatever makes them great as athletes, so be it, they’re good! If Bonds didn’t have a great swing, he wouldn’t be homerun king, if Tiger didn’t have his stroke he wouldn’t be the most dominant golfer of all time, if Anderson didn’t have his timing he wouldn’t be that great, if BJ didn’t have his takedown defense he might not be that great, if GSP couldn’t wrestle, he might suck, too…
Do you have any idea how ridiculous you sound?
True
And look at Mir’s wrestling… Ain’t that great. If only he were the size of Lesnar…

I don't know about you guys,
but i am extra psyched from this event.. pretty damn stacked if you ask me..
Hazelett and Brock are the ones i’m the most excited about, but there’s also almeida/fitch, ortiz/coleman, and cane/rogerio to look forward to.
Brain damage
I cannot see why that sparring partner would let himself be talked into lying on the ground with a pad while Lesnar pounds it, well obviously he is paid but this is almost guaranteed brain damage. Do Lesnar and his trainers have no regard at all for sparring partners’ health? How is this type of drilling benefiting anyone more than if was done with a punch bag lying on the ground? It’s generally agreed that a lot of the brain damage incurred by boxers is from the blows taken during sparring, generally it seems MMA fighters spar at less than fifty per cent power which I think is good for their health but lying on the ground and holding a pad to the side of your head while a 280lber pounds it is just asking to develop some kind of conition in later life.
Yah...
I tend to agree, when I was watching it I said to myself dang that guy needs to find a better job .
I guess I can see why they’re doing it – to practice the gnp as real as possible , but Brock should’ve really thrown weaker punches , he blasted full strength . Maybe the cameras made him go crazy or maybe that’s just the way they do things over there , who knows…
