Quote of the Day: Strikeforce Champ Gegard Mousasi Talks Nicknames
"My friend came up with (the Dreamcatcher), so blame it on him. I don't like nicknames, to be honest. I have a lot of nicknames. They called me Kingo in Japan, they called me the Young Vagabond, but that sounds bad, then Soldier of Fortune, now they call me the Dream Catcher. He said that's a good name. It's original. I read on the internet that people don't like the name. [Ed. note: Whoops] I'd rather have no nickname, but with my style, you can't really put a name on it. A good nickname for me hasn't come up. I told Strikeforce that I didn't want to use a nickname, but they put it up anyway."

Young Vagabond? Soldier of Fortune? Weak. Not sure if I like Dream Catcher any better. Ranks right up there with other crappy nicknames, like Natural Born Killer.
I love me some Sexyama!
I don't know
I liked Young Vagabond just fine. Dream Catcher? What’s the significance of that? He keeps his opponents from having night terrors? Maybe Dream Killer, but Dream Catcher is weak.
I STILL poop rainbows.
Young vagabond? Musashi was a vagabond it was probably a reference to the legendary swordman (and philosopher). He had a musashi avatar for the super hulk tournament btw.
You don't look like a Tanaka.
Dream killer would be better

With nicknames like those it’s understandable that he’d rather go without one.

“The Young Vagabond” is clearly the most clever and creative of those options. I was scratching my head on “Dreamcatcher” the first time I heard it and it hasn’t grown on me. To me its a worthless nickname for a fighter or anyone really. He should slap his friend that came up w/that idea.
