Josh Koscheck is back ladies and gentleman.
While a war of words (mostly from Koscheck) seemed to indicate the battle could be heated, it wasn't in the cards for Twinkle Toes. This one was all Koscheck.
After an early feeling out period, Koscheck was able to connect with what appeared to be a shot that landed on the back on Trigg's head. From there, a dazed Trigg absorbed a straight right that dropped him to the canvas. The punch looked eerily similar to the punch Koscheck used to flatten Yoshiyuki Yoshida at UFC Fight Night: Fight for the Troops.
Koscheck followed up with punches from a borderline prostrate Trigg that eventually forced referee Leon Roberts to stop the contest at 1:25 of the first round.
Koscheck called our UFC Hall of Famer Matt Hughes, which could be a highly entertaining bout and an interesting welterweight clash.
