ESPN's Cowlishaw calls MMA "Rough Man Love Gone Wild"

Here we go again.  The boxing world has a big name on an event the same night as a UFC, and the boxing enthusiasts come out of the woodwork.  ESPN personality Tim Cowlishaw is a boxing guy and an avid MMA hater.

Here is the entire story...He really calls MMA "Rough Man Love Gone WIld" and even has inaccurate facts!

You may or may not have heard of this guy.  Believe it or not, he is a sports writer for the Dallas News.  He also makes regular appearances on ESPN's Around the Horn television show.  It is one of their more popular shows and is seen by millions every weekday.

It appears that Tim has taken too many suped up coffees to the dome because his article is terrible.  It is nothing but hate.

Here are a few excerpts from his work...

I can't say I'm a fan of ultimate fighting because the times I have tried to catch a fight on cable or once on pay-per-view, they weren't terribly entertaining events. One guy gets on top of the other, starts hitting him in the head a few times, and the bell rings.

About Brock Lesnar and Randy Couture...

And many of those fighters do have impressive athletic backgrounds, as White claims. Heavyweight champ Brock Lesnar was an Olympic wrestler and an NCAA champion. Randy Couture was an All-American wrestler at Oklahoma State.

May be willing to change his mind...but prob not

So sometime in the next year, I plan to take White up on his offer, if it still stands. I made the same claim to my father about NASCAR, and he left Texas Motor Speedway a couple of years ago amazed at the sound and the fury that a live race generates.

Maybe one day I will see a fight more entertaining than videos of White firing away at his critics. Two million weekly viewers on Spike TV can't all be wrong, can they?
