The commentary there is atrocious. It’s full of people trying to one up each other with obscure sports references while trying to “discuss” the article

A well written article,
though I think it downplays TUF by just referring to it as a reality show instead of a lengthy UFC Tryout. TUF isn’t so much a reality show Kimbo’s falling stardom is clinging to, it’s more of a chance to gain some respect back, the right way.
TUF is a reality show culminating in a very brief UFC tryout
Fighting a dozen-odd bouts in various low-level organizations for a couple of years is a lengthy UFC tryout.
It ends in an armbar or a strangle regardless.
