Around SBN: Trent Richardson Interviews Fellow Brown Brandon Weeden

UFC 103 Pre-Fight Press Conference

Quotes from Dana White: (Click here for the video)
- "People were b*tching about the main event… so we switched it. My job is to put on fights people want to see."

- "Floyd and I are always going back and forth. I’m a boxing fan. Marquez got caught in the crossfire. No disrespect to Marquez, he’s training at my gym right now. But he’s too small. We’re on the same night but we’ll see what happens. I don’t think it’s a good thing. But here we are. DVR the boxing fight."

- "As much sh*t as I talk about Bob Arum and Don King. I respect them both."

- "The reality is, no matter what happens on Saturday night. Boxing is in trouble. The UFC continues to grow in this horrible economy. We’re going to kick boxing’s ass. This year we’ve beat boxing and WWE combined."

- "Movie stars… it’s been happening. I don’t know who’s being approached. The crazy thing about this Rampage thing is he’s giving away a lot of money to do the A-Team. You can’t fix stupid".

I wonder...

If there’s going to be another Dana being Dana moment here.

Seems like the correct question about UFC/Boxing could send him on a long rant.

I was wondering the same thing.

I think he’ll be riding high off a good show last night and that’s usually when he gets a little too loose and goes off.

Can’t fix stupid

Wow. I have a hard time believeing Rampage isn’t making damn good money for A-team

"That feeling after you win and they raise your hand... it's like you have this energy that releases from your body, and it's like you mingle with the cosmos, and you feel omnipotent"

by woomikee on Sep 17, 2009 2:40 PM EDT reply actions

Believe it

I doubt he’s taking home what he would make from headlining the PPV (especially if he wins). If he’s bringing in 7 figures for A-Team, I would be shocked. Floored. Flabbergasted. Amazed.

Now, Rampage is probably thinking, “I can do the movie THEN do the PPV”, so he’s adding income, not substituting income. After all, since they’ve already filmed TUF 10, there’s got to be a coaches’ fight, so it’s gonna happen. But I’m not sure he wants to be in the “Pissing Dana White Off” business…

Dana needs to shut up. I’m always pro-dana and like it when he says edgy shit, but he does NOT need to alienate Rampage.

I don’t see how Rampage would be making more money to film this movie than the fight but I guess it means more to Rampage to do the movie than to fight Rashad either way the can’t fix stupid comment may be fitting from Dana’s point of view

rampage has been stupid

remember him humping on the female reporters in 2 seperate occasions? once in japan and once in the States

remember how he rammed like a maniac in his truck with his image on it?

remember… last night he picked the stupid losing match for his team member on TUF10?

yeah, basically what im trying to say is he’s a fool. acts like a 13 yr old kid who just hit puberty or some shit.

i used to like this guy, but more and more i see his “real personality” side. I dislike him more.

Rashad on the other hand, he was one being disliked by many but im starting to like him cuz of his effort and i hope he gives ass whooping

DW has been a pretty solid backer of rampage;

And now page pretty much did this without letting DW know about it at all; i think Dw doesnt do dissapointed as well as lorenzo… i can understand why he would be upset…

Page isnt going to to quit; DW isnt going to alienate page; they will say look we took care of you and you fucked us: not cool. page will say it was a chance to get his name out there and bring more people to the fight… lorenzo will sort it out and the fight will be 2-3 months later…

Backing a man is one thing, outright calling him stupid is another. Especially being called such by your employer.

He's not an employee, man

And they’re friends. Dana’s hurt as usual, but he’ll prolly get over it when/if Rampage brings more name recognition to the fight.

you also wouldn’t make as much money as Rampage would by staying.
