give maynard credit

that was the deepest kimura I’ve seen next to sakuraba renzo… on top of that he outstruck huerta, dropped him and rocked him on multiple occasions for 2 rounds.

lost a lay n pray bout. He’s a wrestler! get off your back man and force a scramble! sprawl! you have a bag of tricks to stop the takedown, use them please.

I’m pretty sure Stann and Pierce did that to everybody.

I thought I’d hit the nicest parlay last night, just to that cantwell actually lost.

The Steinbeiss-Jensen fight was apparently pretty controversial

Jensen had the guillotine, and Steinbeiss gave a thumbs up to the ref to indicate he was fine, but the ref thought his arm had gone limp and jumped in to stop it.

It was some local Oklahoma ref as well.

Stann fight was apparently a snoozer

I had Cantwell, Wilson, and Larson winning this, so I am very surprised to see them lose, and I wouldn’t be surprised if I weren’t the only one.

Can anyone give me any inside on the Jay Silva vs CB fight

by SouthAlaBamaRampage on Sep 16, 2009 11:52 PM EDT reply actions

According to the play-by-plays I read

Dollaway kept putting Silva on his back and got to mount and took Silva’s back a few times, but Silva was mostly able to keep escaping and getting back to his feet. Silva tried some flashy kicks and such but kept giving up takedowns to the CB.

Apparently by the third round, CB looked absolutely gassed, while Silva still seemed pretty fresh. He rocked Dollaway with some flying knees and out-struck him handily to win the round, but it wasn’t enough.

CB had to be helped out of the cage after the fight, and said something in the post-fight interview about being really sick prior to the fight, so that may have contributed to his fatigue.

by Scott Haber on Sep 17, 2009 12:34 AM EDT up reply actions

It was basically Kongo vs. Velasquez, except without Velasquez’ durability.

Dollaway got the takedown at will, often without hardly being conscious since every time it was stood up he’d get annihilated by punches or knees. He couldn’t stand after the fight and had to be carried out by his cornermen.

It was a terrible decision. CB may have scored takedowns and most of the fight was spent with him laying on top, but Silva seriously obliterated him on the feet.

LOL Hilarious tag there, my man!

On the other hand… If you do dance in Sweden, you might be deemed a Queen. Tough choice to be made.

I can’t dance anyway, so the decision is out of my hands.

I was at the fights

and saw the Steinbeiss debacle live. Jensen had an arm in guillotine and Ritter (the ref) was on the wrong side so he went around and tried to move Steinbeiss’s hand to make sure he wasn’t out. Steinbeiss jerked his hand away and gave a thumbs up.

So Ritter stopped the fight
