Quote of the Day: Gray Maynard Talks Roger Huerta, B.J. Penn
There’s nothing I would really change up going up against (Huerta), and there’s probably only a couple of guys who I would change up a lot … not even a lot. Obviously against a guy like, maybe Penn, who is just — I mean, he’s dangerous. So you gotta have a plan and change up some stuff. But Huerta? He has heart. He has a lotta heart. But technically? I think he has more heart. He just kinda … man, he comes in, bop, bop, bop.

That would be awesome. I am just not a fan of Maynard at all.

So Maynard thinks Huerta’s tough, but not a threat skill-wise.
Well, if Huerta had trouble with Guida’s wrestling……….

Maynard via Ugly Decision
Maynard via Decision, not a pretty one though. I get shades of tito/machida, dana will not want to send Huerta into the big wide world with a W on his way out……

I’m really hoping that they are hyping up Huerta by stating that he is pursueing an acting career and no longer interested in fighting. You have to agree that would be good marketing. I really think that they are testing him here. I think if/when he wins they are willing to bring some good money to the table for a new contract. Will it be more than BJ Penn makes? Maybe, if Huerta were to be a title holder someday. Who knows. BJ may have one foot out the door with his next opponent being Diego Sanchez.

I think it will be a tooth and nail fight to the end. Split decision for Maynard.
Huerta is cocky and careless sometimes, and probably has some ring rust.

I like Huerta, but I think as shown in the Guida and Florian fights he has some holes in his game that Gray can take advantage of. I don’t think Huerta can handle Maynard’s wrestling. Maynard by unanimous decision.

I wanna hear one *new interview that states he’s really leaving to be an actor so that way I root for Maynard. Him leaving is complete BS!

As long as
Gray takes this seriously (which I think he is), then he should dominate Huerta. Guida was outboxing and outwrestling Roger easily, and I tend to think that Maynard>>>>Clay.

"He ain't pretty no more..."
At least with Maynard’s style, Huerta won’t be too worse for wear.

I don’t know what you’re talking about, Maynard left Jim Miller a bloody mess.

This is a pretty easy call for Maynard.

Lol
Maynard has funny interviews. He isn’t the most articulate speaker.
