Today on MMA Nation: Spike TV's Brian Diamond, Chase Beebe

1067logobig_medium

Today on "MMA Nation" we'll be joined by Brian Diamond, co-Executive Producer of "The Ultimate Fighter" and Vice President of Sports and Specials at Spike TV. We'll talk to Diamond about what "The Ultimate Fighter" means to SpikeTV, whether or not the show portrays MMA properly, why there is a buzz about the show for the first time in years and if he thinks Kimbo Slice will pull in record ratings.

We'll also be joined by bantamweight contender Chase Beebe. We'll talk to Beebe about where he's training now, his loss to Joe Warren in DREAM, if he skipped out on a tough fight with Mike Easton the first time they were scheduled to compete, and if he feels this is the most important fight of his young career. Beebe locks horns with Mike Easton at UWC 7: Redemption for the UWC Bantamweight title.

"MMA Nation" airs every Saturday 7:00pm EST to 9:00pm EST on 106.7 The Fan. TODAY THE SHOW WILL BE ENTIRELY PREEMPTED to accommodate University of Maryland football. We have recorded the show ahead of time and will be posting the audio files shortly.

I'm also now on Twitter: @mmanation.

"MMA Nation" is also available by podcast on iTunes.

Email here.

Talk to you then.

I just discovered Huerta’s key to success while playing UFC 09. I knocked Maynard out with a knee when he went for the takedown. Perfect gameplan right??

and if it worked on Guida, might just work on Maynard. BTW, I’ve also just submitted Cheick Kongo 2 times with Frank Mir in the first round on Expert..its a sign of things to come.
