Cage Force 12 Results: Hironaka Clobbers Koyama for Vacant LW Strap
Former UFC welterweight Kuniyoshi Hironaka continued his successful shift to lightweight in Tokyo on Saturday, knocking out top prospect Yoshihiro Koyama to become Cage Force's third generation lightweight ace. (The belt was officially vacated by now-Sengoku champ Mizuto Hirota last week.) Hironaka notched his third straight stoppage win in the last four months, as he put Koyama to sleep via left hook with under a minute left in the first frame.
In the night's sole women's match, Kyoko Takabayashi got back on track following her featherweight tournament loss to "V Hajime" Yamaguchi, TKO'ing the Wajyutsu Keisyukai-trained Akiko Naito in the first round. Meanwhile, former Outsider Masato Kobayashi improved to 4-0 with a unanimous decision over the more experienced Daisuke Sugishima.

thanks for the update Chris
I am a huge Hironaka fan. He acquitted himself well in the UFC — gave Jon Fitch a lot of trouble. Thiago Alves beat him badly but otherwise he did well.
I think he’ll do really well as a lightweight.
