Fabricio Werdum says Alistair Overeem is on "Gummy Berry Juice":

"Overeem is running from the fight; I am pretty sure about that... I cannot be 100-percent right about the reason he is taking so long to solve his issues and come to fight, but it seems either that the gummy berry juice he is taking to give him super powers is (causing) him to avoid fighting here in America or he is afraid of having no arms to fight after facing me one more time."

"I want to say to him that if comes, face me and lose. I will let him take some pictures with my belt and he will be able to keep good memories from his time as a Strikeforce champion."

We have quite a lot steroid accusations these days.

yeah it’s too bad but i think all these accusations by fighters is further evidence that there is quite a big steroid problem out there. these fighters are all networked together through training camps, gyms, etc…

by GregS123 on Sep 12, 2009 10:42 AM EDT up reply actions

It’s all speculations, even from the fighters side. This is not a fact, werdum should know better…

by Orcus on Sep 12, 2009 11:39 AM EDT up reply actions

not defending werdum one bit.

just saying that with enough situations like this one where fighters are directly calling each other out, that it lends some serious credibility to the fact that there is a steroid problem out there, whether or not overeem is one of them.

Gummy Berry juice sounds deliscious.
Awesome quote by Werdum.

It is pretty obvious everyone is pissed off at eachoter.

Mousasi + Filho
Mayhem + Shields + Jacare
Werdum + Overeem
Toughill + Coenen

Lets do this Strikeforce!
=)

They’re too busy trashing their former fighters to put a show like this.

they’re not the only ones who trash fighters…

by Orcus on Sep 12, 2009 11:42 AM EDT up reply actions

Dana manages to do both, he puts great shows and trashes fighters.

Strikeforce has put on great shows, but I agree that their not even comparable to the UFC, yet…

by Orcus on Sep 12, 2009 11:55 AM EDT up reply actions

Don’t take my posts too seriously. The 3 big shows Strikeforce put this year were great, however, I’m a little concerned about their future. They signed a lot of decent fighters and whereas with the UFC we know pretty much all the main cards up to UFC 107, there is no info about Strikeforce upcoming shows and no bouts are set.

oh I agree, they have a long way to go, but I think they’re doing a great job given their small time in the MMA area. My only problem with them is the signing of Fedor (I don’t think they are big enough for Fedor right now), but everything else to me is good.

by Orcus on Sep 12, 2009 12:15 PM EDT up reply actions

Shouldn’t you put up a picture of every fight promoter in every combat sport? Dana doesn’t do anything any different than any of the rest of them do.

by who me on Sep 12, 2009 11:51 AM EDT up reply actions

so why do ppl have a problem when coker does it?

by Orcus on Sep 12, 2009 11:53 AM EDT up reply actions

Why do people have a problem when Dana does it? Why do people get bent out of shape when 200 year old Bob Arum does it? If the goal is to get people’s attention then it seems to be working. Having people talk about it seems to be the whole point in doing it, it’s just silly to single out one guy as being different than all the rest of them over doing the same thing.

by who me on Sep 12, 2009 12:26 PM EDT up reply actions

I think we’re debating the same point, I don’t have a problem when Dana does it, but there is a bunch of ppl in the forums calling coker out for doing it when they themselves defend Dana for doing it. capitch?

by Orcus on Sep 12, 2009 2:37 PM EDT up reply actions

A lot of people are doing that because so many people get bent out of shape when Dana does it, same thing happened when M-1 did it to Don Frye. It’s been dragged into that kind of vicious cycle. To be fair a lot of the people I see getting bent out of shape are the same ones who get bent out of shape when anyone else does it too, they don’t like anyone doing it.

That is the second best MMA-related image this week, next to the mental picture of Werdum watching this show.

AO is HUGE! The AO that fought Chuck Lidell looked like a MW. His body has changed, so some of these accusations seemed to be based in reality.

for all intents and purposes, just consider all my posts as works of satire.

by Bandaka on Sep 12, 2009 12:31 PM EDT reply actions

to be fair i think i remember overeem still being larger than chuck back when they fought. maybe when he was much much younger he could have dieted down to 185 but after his losses at LH i read an interview stating he started a “new diet” and weight training lifting every day to bulk up for HW cause he knew he would “be fast” and “be better technically” … not sure how he figured that exactly but the juice theory fits in. then again all just “theory” until he gets busted

Maybe it’s the equine based diet.
