This is definitely shaping up to be a card I am looking forward to! I’m still a bit gun shy since the main event hasn’t been announced, but everything else sounds pretty exciting!

Forrest would be a nice fit...

to face Little Nog. What’s his injury / suspension situation after UFC 101? He should be good to go by Nov. Then again, does he get a cut of pay-per-views? This being on Spike may rule him out…

Awesome idea!

What’s the standard medical suspension for bruised pride?

Chipper is going to be too strong and aggressive for Nick.

agreed his style is a bad match up for nick. i would like to see nick win but i dont think it will happen. any ways i wouldnt mind seeing riddle win either.. he seems like a really funny nice guy.. really young and immature but that makes for good tv :)

anybody know

what kind of Kung Fu Osipczak studied?
Not that he’ll have a chance to use it against Riddle.

LOL

It’s amazing how many people I’ve met who said they studied kung fu and I ask them what kind and they just shrug their shoulders and say “just kung fu”. Ugh. Let us know if you find out!

My gopher style kung fu is clearly stronger than his water mongoose kung fu, that’s all I’m saying.

Nick, there's also the debut

of Alexander Gustaffson, against TBA so far.

wow jared hamman was supposedly one of the next poster boys for strikeforce’s LHW division. if it ends up being true it will amaze me even more how dana is literally stealing all strikeforce’s roster from under their nose

by buttters on Sep 10, 2009 11:31 AM EDT up reply actions

Hamman is definitely signed by the UFC. Link

nice find! thanks for that link dude. i am like i said i would be… (amazed) at how dana is killing it in and out of the office. this seems like the year of great contract signings for the ufc.. it definitely would deserve that title if they signed u know who.. as for hamman i dont think he is going to be faring very well against gustaffson but hey you never know!

by buttters on Sep 10, 2009 12:48 PM EDT up reply actions

How are they stealing all strikeforce’s roster"? Hamman and Baroni?
=)

by MMASuPreMaCy on Sep 10, 2009 1:40 PM EDT up reply actions

heh your right now that i think about it i cant think of any other guys that ufc has recently signed besides hamman and baroni, that were already a part of strike force :).. Although i do recall strikeforce trying to pick up some of the afflictions dud show card fighters. some guys just off the top of my head i know strikeforce was trying to sign but ufc picked up were todd duffee, paul daley, rafaello oliveira, chase gormley, a few others i just think the ufc has been doing an awesome job signing exciting fighters this year. i know strikeforce is missing out on a lot of that.. btw i need to read it again but also i think ufc recently picked up some guys on your (prospects) article.

by buttters on Sep 10, 2009 2:16 PM EDT up reply actions

Hamman was a top prospect but FAR from being their LHW posterboy. That title goes to Feijao. Hamman got KOed by a flying knee from Suganuma before he beat Suganuma in the rematch.

by MMASuPreMaCy on Sep 10, 2009 1:42 PM EDT up reply actions

… and Feijao got KTFO by the dirtiest player in the game even more recently.

Solid card. I really think Nick Osipczak is going to get abused in this fight. But that is just me.

by "Mr. NC-17" on Sep 10, 2009 9:42 AM EDT reply actions

Agreed

Riddle is just way too strong…I see him smothering Osipczak on the ground en-route to a dominant decision win.

by Scott Haber on Sep 10, 2009 9:44 AM EDT up reply actions

Good odds on Kim and Kang, even if I told myself I would never pick Kang again as long as I lived.

This shirt is "dry clean only", which means it's dirty.

by SamCupitt on Sep 10, 2009 10:19 AM EDT reply actions

That's exactly what I was thinking

I think Kang should take this fight, and anything better than an even line for Denis is a steal. I’d take the money and run

Kang is a steal. I don’t see Bisping throwing on the triangle choke to win this one.

by nottheface on Sep 10, 2009 2:38 PM EDT up reply actions

Well if you watch the Kang v. Mousasi fight it looks like you don’t even have to “throw on a triangle”, Kang will just create one himself and fall into it.

Pretty good free card

Please give Little Nog a decent opponent. Bisping/Kang for a main event is stupid.

they have to find someone for Lil Nog with name recognition that isnt a serious threat to beat him

See above

Forrest.

i wouldnt throw forrest in there just because the dude just lost two fights in a row and im sure he wants a tune up fight.. what ever the hell that means, maybe just not a guy who for sure is going to embarrass him again..(at least so soon). a couple guys i think would make sense for nogs debut would be; jake obrien, brandon vera, brian stann, steve cantwell, thiago silva, stephen bonnar, luiz cane… eric schafer? i think eric might be signed to fight bader later this year dont know if not bader wouldnt be a bad first fight either.

by buttters on Sep 10, 2009 11:39 AM EDT up reply actions

i’d like to see Forrest v. Ksos, vera vs. Lil Nog would be good

by amadeus on Sep 10, 2009 11:41 AM EDT up reply actions

forrest vs ksos would be good. funny you mention that match up because i was thinking about it as well then remembered there was recently an article bout how ksos considered himself the next forrest or jardine dont remember but one of them.. also there was another article about how ksos looked like forrest lol i dont think too much but i could see a tiny resemblance

by buttters on Sep 10, 2009 11:44 AM EDT up reply actions

FORREST?!!

That’s 1:30 he lasts.

Dana should be smart enough to throw Forrest away from the wolves and towards an opponent he can assure will be beaten.

Oh, well that makes a litle more sense then.
