He looks like a casting reject from some action flick starring Bruce Willis.
Or a Disney live-action movie.

Well luckily for Dana he is surrounded by piles of hundred dollar bills to dry his tears with.
Walla walla walla I'm an idiot.

He said “I wont work with a person like that (Dana White)”
They where pushing “working” with Dana White their main negotiating point about 3 weeks ago

Yeah, HE turned DANA down huh? Right, that’s exactly what happened. What universe is this guy living in?

What a joke? I almost gagged when Millen said he keeps Dana in the news.
As a serious question, what does Millen exactly do for M-1 Global? I hope he’s not in charge of their last event in Kansas City, because that was a disaster.

I wish I could see precisely how hard White laughs at this guy.

So Fedor would fight Brock in a gym for free but not for whatever Dana was offering him?

Check it out!!
He’s right about one thing… Showtime is the most viable threat Zuffa has faced… what he doesn’t understand is that the difference in threat went from a “fire ant” to a “fire fly”.
Jerry – Gary Millen is nothing more than a secretary who looks like he wants to be in a boy band….
LOL , why all the hate ?
I can see people here really hate the guy – did he say anything that offended you people or was an outright lie ? I think everything he said was within the realms of reality … unless you count his Dana insults but those weren’t serious…
How can you really say that what he said was in the realm of reality? He said Dana keeps the big fights from happening because he wants too much money, but what exactly are they doing? They turned down one of the biggest contracts the UFC ever offered a fighter because they wanted more money.
he’s just full of shit.
Well so he’s as full as shit as Dana is then by what you’re saying , yet you don’t see every post on Dana White getting this much hate . This is a strange phenomenon imo , like the Tim Sylvia hate more or less. I don’t really care anyways just thought it was a bit weird…
Dana White has actually done something in his life…
Dana is a character but there’s at least substance to it. Did you know Dana before he built a billion dollar business? no. we dont need to know this fucktard until he has actually done something.
You can tell he’s just bullshitting through life. Ive seen these useless bodies all too many times…. like parasites they cling from one host to another.
I’m not following ya , unless you’re a billionaire you can’t give interviews ? Or you should never say you want to compete with the UFC ? Maybe the M-1 people don’t know what they’re talking about , maybe Dana White is going to ruin their business , but what gives with all the hate? Should we immediately hate anyone that tries to promote mma in the U.S who isn’t the UFC?
Dana White indeed has done something in his life , and he’s a millionaire , but that doesn’t going to make me like him or listen to all the bullshit he has to say , and I think we can all agree he talks a lot of shit .
Feel free to listen to whatever he says…
He has a right to his opinion same way everyone has a right to hate him.
MMA fans have heard this same script before. You wanna know why they hate him – Im giving you the reason.
You obviously dont know how to spot the “bullshitters”. who produce nothing of value to society…
Dana white has a lot more results than this guy.
he also doesn’t contradict himself within 2 minutes like this douche.
Lols Dana doesn’t contradict himself – he never said he likes StrikeForce ,then when they signed Fedor said they’re a bunch of idiots that nobody watches them . Never called Nogueira a legend , but same time said Fedor sucks and is overrated (hello , Fedor beat Nogueira TWICE). Never insulted Affliction publicly but then when he did business with them again they were back to being an important part of the industry blah blah blah.
I’m not saying Im a Jerry Millen fan but I’m defintely NOT a Dana White fan…
without Dana White...
… you wouldn’t be defending mma court jester jerry millen on an mma website. Dana is brash but he cares about the sport… jerry millen doesn’t. he says fedor is his man, blah blah… what happens when fedor loses? then what?
by cagefightonacid on Sep 1, 2009 6:11 PM EDT via mobile up reply actions
I started watching mma way before I knew about the UFC , Pride has been around regardless of the UFC . I’m not arguing that Dana helped build mma , but so what ? It doesn’t give him the right to act like an asshole all the time. I mean what the hell – it’s like saying I agree to the monopoly Microsoft were trying to create because without Bill Gates we wouldn’t have windows … monopolies and being an asshole and a bully wannabe is never a quality I like , that’s all I was saying.
pride came after the ufc. you’re missing the point… Dana DOES things for the sport, don’t like him, no big deal. Gary has done nothing but hurt the sport… bottom line. How is he an asshole all the time?
by cagefightonacid on Sep 1, 2009 6:32 PM EDT via mobile up reply actions
=)
I’m not questioning your dedication or knowledge of the sport at all btw, just a friendly debate…
by cagefightonacid on Sep 1, 2009 6:35 PM EDT via mobile up reply actions
Ya I know , but I got acquainted to mma in youtube actually , saw some Pride fights , then got to know Fedor and all the guys , and only after a few months (after I was already hooked) I knew about the UFC . So you can’t say that Dana is solely responsible for the world of mma , because he isn’t. He succeeded to buy the UFC (co-buy) at a very cheap price and make it what it is today , I’ll give you that .
Don’t agree about M-1 or Millen hurting the sport , what do u mean ?
i do really believe that mma would have died with the ufc but whatever, that’s speculative of course. have you read bas rutten’s “exposure” of millen? sheds a lot of light on what a scumbag he is. on top of that, pretty much every interview i’ve ever heard he shit talks with no support. m-1 is a whole other story….
by cagefightonacid on Sep 1, 2009 9:48 PM EDT up reply actions
Why do you keep using Dana White to defend your point?
Dana White isn’t perfect, he’ll tell you that himself, but Jerry Millen is the scum of the MMA business.
I just think that competition is good , and that Dana White sucks at least as this Millen guy , that’s all. I expressed wonder at the fact that Dana White can say pretty much whatever he wants (including insults , half truths and complete lies) and get away with it , but whenever someone , a competitor (Atencio , EliteXC , and now these M-1 global guys or Scott Cocker) tries to create some headlines people will mostly give him shit , instead of wishing him good luck…
Equating anyone with Jerry Millen is a huge insult. You must really hate Dana White. Still, you can’t argue that….
Dana White: Put MMA on the map. Without him, you wouldn’t be posting here because this website wouldn’t exist.
Jerry Millen: Useless douchebag who has done nothing but get himself involved with Fedor.
That’s why Dana can say what he wants, and Jerry Millen can’t. Jerry is one of the crazy morons telling Fedor the UFC should be co-promoting with M-1, so how you are defending him is beyond comprehension.
You wanna be a Dana White hater, be one. Just don’t defend douchebags like this in the process.
Hey, I believe Gracie put mma on the map. Dana has done a lot, but unless we have a way to look into an alternate reality, we won’t know what would have happened without him. Would someone else have come along and made a competitive org without Dana? Maybe. Maybe they were in the process of it and he beat them to the punch. So let’s not act as if invented the sport. The opportunity was there for him. and he took. Good for him.
LOL!!
Your right, it’s better to discount everything he has done and just assume someone else would have done it. So he got the sport unbanned across the country and brought it to the edge of mainstream, it probably would have happened anyway.
Heck, I guess no accomplishment really deserves any respect. Inventing the automobile, discovering electricity, abolishing slavery….that all would have happened anyway so nobody really deserves any credit.
Back to reality now, Dana accomplished something great, Jerry Millen is a douchebag.
My point was people act as if Dana singe-handedly created the sport out of whole cloth. But the sport had already been introduced by Rorion Gracie (and lets not forget John Milius). And the example of it’s potential had already been provide by Pride FC who were selling out 40,000 seat stadiums by early 2000. And IFC, Superbrawl, KOTC, WFA, and several others were operating by the time he went into business. Who’s to say one of them wouldn’t have filled the UFC’s shoes. Remember fighters like Randy Couture, Tito Ortiz, and Chuck Liddel were already fighting and if the UFC was unavailable they would have gone somewhere else. Would that somewhere else have been as successful. I doubt it, but still there would have been someone.
But I will give him all the credit for what he did; convince his friends to buy the UFC; convince them to keep pouring money in when times where tough; market the hell out of the company; to fight to get it recognized in 40 states. Not for the good of the sport, but for the good of the company. And he’s done a damn good job for his company and himself. And I’ll be the first to compliment him on everything he’s done. But I’m not going to compare him to Karl Benz, Thales of Miletus, and Abraham Lincoln (if we are going to be parochial).
Now on to Jerry Millen. He is a douchebag. On that the two of us can find common ground over a drink. As long as you’re buying.
Gary Millen is not a Dana wannabe, he is, in fact, a Vince McMahon wannabe.
The reason Gary Millen takes so much flack is because he is the Kenneth Lay of MMA, he is in the business simply hoping for a windfall. He sees Fedor/M-1 as his ticket to said windfall. Dana, on the other hand, is a huge fan of the sport and wants his organization to be THE organization for the sport. There is nothing wrong with someone trying to push their agenda, it’s what you plan on doing once your agenda is met.

Dana talks shit about something that he knows. he knows how to run an mma promotion.
All we have on Gary here is that he worked for Pride, many people there hated him, pride got sold to Dana. Now he works for M1, who also haven’t really done anything on the level of the UFC, yet they continue to go along and talk shit as if they have done something.
Established pattern of ridiculous.
Millen is effing clown shoes.
The ULTIMATE ultimate proving ground.
a lot of hate for Millen stems from this:
http://www.mmaontap.com/mma/entry/bas-rutten-exposes-gary-jerry-millen/
Are you seriously trying to defend Jerry Millen? No one likes Jerry(Gary) Millen.
During the HDNet broadcast of today’s Affliction: Day of Reckoning weigh-in, the retired MMA star turned announcer Bas Rutten had some choice words for M-1 Global executive Jerry Millen.
After Millen introduced Fedor Emelianenko, the camera lingered on him, and Rutten (who may or may not have known that his microphone was on) could be heard saying, “That’s the a**hole. Oh, did I just say this on TV?”
http://mma.fanhouse.com/2009/01/23/bas-rutten-calls-jerry-millen-a-hole-on-hdnet-affliction-bro/
What an idiot...
Look at M-1’s last event: Mark Kerr Vs. Mo Lawal!? Seriously, Kerr wouldn’t even be allowed to compete in the UFC – for his own health lol. And Look at Strikeforce’s next event – half of those fighter wouldn’t even be allowed to compete in the UFC.
So clearly they’re a class below the UFC. SO I don’t really know why they’re trying to compete with the UFC, because they end up looking like idiots.
He does have a good point about lower tier fighters not getting a chance in the UFC and thus other organisations are needed. However, M-1 isn’t ideal for Fedor because he could be making more money and fighting better fighter in the UFC. As for Mousasi, I really feel for him. Who’s he gonna fight????? Kevin Randleman, Mike Witehead?
No shit.
Jerry is a man in search of bromance.
I have never heard a Jerry Millen interview where he didn’t mention Dana at least once, on his own, without being prompted by the interviewer. Meanwhile I have NEVER heard Dana mention Jerry Miller unless it is in direct response to a question.
If Jerry thinks he is in Dana’s head and has the Baldfather crying into his pillow at night, he is sorely mistaken.
can't they put a ban
on his pressers, like cp did to Tito. i refuse to watch such blatent lies!!
Where is this interview at?
Where is this interview taking place at? Are those bars on the windows behind him?
