"Frank Mir had a horseshoe up his ass. I told him a year ago. I pulled it out of him and I beat him over the head with it." Brock Lesnar

He doesn’t need to, now. He gave him a full-course meal when he delivered his HYPOCRISY-LADEN diatribe regarding honor, treating the fans right, and other bullcrap.

He will rue the day he opened his mouth and let the crap come out….

I think Carwin has the best shot at beating Lesnar…

Lesnar gets hit especially in the transitions and Carwin has yet to need more than one punch.

Carwin gets hit also… the difference is carwin gets hit standing right in front of you.

Lesnar needs to bring out the “herring” playbook. Punch early when carwin tends to get hit and shoot.

gonzaga broke his septum Brock is going to break his skull.

Spoken just like a WWE interview. Great.

Don't believe a word I say, I don't train BJJ.
I blog at TangleBones - you should follow me on Twitter here.

Spoken just like a MMA fan who can never stop mentioning the “WWE” whenever Brock is concerned.

ENOUGH ALREADY!

by BNTHIS on Sep 7, 2009 2:18 AM EDT up reply actions

That is true…

Carwin can get hurt and Brock can get hurt… the question is who can hurt who first.

by mmalogic on Sep 1, 2009 10:36 AM EDT up reply actions

When you say best shot… i think you mean the highest punchers chance. Brock is superior to Carwin in all aspects except KO power and boxing. That means that the only way he loses is if he gets knocked out, thats a big if. I will be cheering for Carwin cause I just want to see how Brock will handle getting knocked out cold.

Still I think its sad that the best contender in the near future only has a punchers chance…the Herring playbook will definitely work. I think Carwin has 5 chances to finish this fight at the beginning of this round, there is no way in hell he wins a decision and i dont see a submission coming. That being said im cheering for Carwin.

by Dudeski on Sep 1, 2009 10:22 AM EDT up reply actions

Yeah Brock has an edge in all aspects… I think even in striking.

But Carwin is good enough with wrestling and has enough punching power to put brock to sleep. Brock has yet to face someone like this.

I think it will come down to who hurts who first. Carwin almost always takes a shot first before giving his and Lesnar almost always gets hit in the transitions.

Brock needs to put Carwin on his back and control him. Carwin needs to create transitions and strike.

I hope that Lesnar loses to submission just to make you feel like a dick. I hate people who see everything so one dimensional. The fight hasn’t happened yet, stop judging how it’s gonna go down based on their previous fights.

by ontite on Sep 2, 2009 3:08 AM EDT up reply actions

So you’re saying that we should EXPECT Brock to lose by submission, right?

If we’re not going to judge how this fight is going down based on their previous fights, how are we going to discuss ANYTHING regarding this fight? There wouldn’t be anything to talk about, ontite.

So you think Brock has better jiu jitsu than Carwin?

Neither one of them use submissions, so what does it matter. But Brock definitely has the edge in GnP! If he gets carwin down, GAME OVER!!!!

ABSOLUTELY

not. 2 rds max.

Arguing on the internet is like being in the special olympics, even when you win you are still retarded.

unless...

it becomes a wrestling match, which is an absolute possibility. I hope not, but it can definitely happen.

Unless it turns into something resembling a WWE match, we’d better hope it won’t turn into a wrestling match. Those tend to get boring real quick….

I say this fight goes 3 rounds….with Brock catching Shane in the jaw, taking him down, and then finishing him with the Hammerfists of death.

Why are we already hyping a fight from UFC 106 when we just had 102? great two big dudes are gonna fight in a couple of months if no one gets hurt training!!! I’d better get the keg tapped now and get my PPV watching chair ready

by erogers72 on Sep 1, 2009 11:21 AM EDT reply actions

Brock is a huge PPV draw ($$$)

Of course they’re going to hype any event he’s on.

by dv8shun on Sep 1, 2009 11:24 AM EDT up reply actions

Because any other UFC PPV that does not have Brock on it is going to make other PPVs pale in comparison.

Thankfully, we’ll have Machida coming up….

by BNTHIS on Sep 7, 2009 2:26 AM EDT up reply actions

It'd be sweet if

Brock subbed his ass… I wonder if Brock is training Jitsu

by pl4tinum on Sep 1, 2009 11:44 AM EDT reply actions

Of course he is. The question is to what extent. I’m sure he trained a lot of BJJ defense for Mir.

by MMAInFeRioRiTy on Sep 1, 2009 12:36 PM EDT up reply actions

BJJ defense

That’s all Brock really needs to train in, imo.

by dv8shun on Sep 1, 2009 1:48 PM EDT up reply actions

I agree.

Why should Brock try and submit his opponent when GnP does the job just as well? You go with what brought you to this point.
