UFC 101: Declaration - Bloody Elbow Betting Game Results

~ Camp statistics for UFC 101 ~
This is an event about whose occurrence I have previously told. Our ensemble is the betting equivalent of Anderson Silva to MMA4Real's Forrest Griffin. We've now witnessed the tipping point after which there is no going back: our dominance cannot be contained. For UFC 101 our picking percentage was over 7 points higher than 4Real's. Combine that with a $700 lead in average earnings for systematic destruction.
Leading the charge for our side was, once again, Leland Roling (LR) with $10,799 in earnings, $9,816 of the fake money coming off a $2,300 Silva, Almeida, Penn parlay. Roling is now #20 out of 6629 on MMA Playground with a total stack of $15,400 through the season thus far.
As for points earned through successful fight predictions, phantasma475 takes the gold for UFC 101 with 80 points. That is good for 25th on MMA Playground for the event. Well done.
Full camp results are in the extended entry. The next event is UFC 102 on August 29th.
Important: If you wish to join the Bloody Elbow betting ensemble, send me a message on MMA Playground with your BE user name or leave a comment in this thread so I can send you an invite. Please make sure your MMA Playground login name is the same as your BE name or as close as possible so we can give you the proper credit.

There is still time to make picks and wagers for WEC 42 tonight in the secondary league.

link to explanation of the betting game...
seasons, secondary league, etc… I joined the group, but never bet.. :(
I'm like PacMan fightin you silly kids... throw ya Hatton the ring, and get knocked outlike Ricky did.
lol.
An overview can be found here. Any specific questions after that I can help you with.
The secondary league is in the Quick Links menu on the left side. From there you go to My Fantasy Picks and My Fantasy Wagers. The events in the secondary league, non-UFC events, do not count for prizes or toward camp standing.

Jesus Christ subo, how do you lose money on an event where BJ Penn is paying 1 to 1?
Walla, walla, walla, I'm an idiot.
That’s a good question for a guy who is now the #1 Chiefs fan in the world.

You can add me.
I did better than I expected, next time I’m loading the parlay a little bit more.
You don't look like a Tanaka.

Apparently when I was drunk at 3 am last night I made the following bets:
For UFC 102:
1000 on Big Nog
1000 on Munoz
1000 on Jardine
100 on Rosholt
What are everyone’s feelings on the Vera-Krzysztof fight?

I like a Randy/ Vera/ Rosholt parlay.

i’m not sold on krzysztof yet and i think vera is still a bit underrated. i’d take vera at -160.
i like munoz at -125 but i think big nog and jardine are pretty risky bets especially at nearly even lines. and honestly i dont really know who rosholt is
I think Nog is very very underrated at this point. People are writing him off based on the way he looked in the Mir fight but the guy had serious knee injuries and was in the hospital a few days before the fight with an infection. Randy for all of his skill and toughness is still a 46 year old man.
Jardine is a risky bet but hes definitely the favorite in that fight (although I don’t love his track record against wrecking ball type fighters who love to come forward (e.g. Houston Alexander and Wandy)).
Rosholt is the wrestling machine. If the fight stays standing Leben will murder him but I think Rosholt can take him down and GnP/LnP him enough to get the decision.
"Japan is half-Machida" - iiowyn
i’d love to see nog back in old form… but sylvia was doing the same thing to him mir was doing. i think couture is good enough of a striker to follow suite and good enough of a grappler to not get tapped. randy has looked great his past three fights sans a single punch from lesnar, nog’s last three have been questionable. i hate to say it but hes farther past his peak than couture is
my thinking with jardine is like you said, he’s had problems against this type of fighter. i dont think he has the technical striking to keep the pressure off. keep in mind, silva’s only loss at this point is machida. that barely even counts. if either had a decent underdog value i could see but i think they were both -120 when i checked

I assume subo is only counted as 0.5 for obvious reasons.
subo should wear a helmet anytime he tries to bet on MMA.

Hah
The stink of this loss still doesn’t overpower you picking Michael Bisping over Dan Henderson. I mean, Jesus.
I didn’t feel great about this card, so I bet pretty small – I won money on Penn and Batman and thus lost less than 15% of my stack. I’ll come back.
