Quote of the Day 2: Kenny Florian

"BJ's intensity seemed forced, and he seemed a little small." "I am ready to go five five-minute rounds, and we will see tomorrow night if he is ready too."
"I sacrificed a lot more than B.J.." "BJ may have done a lot to get ready for this fight, but I doubt he did more than me. I have dotted all my I’s and crossed all my T’s, I am ready to go."
-- Kenny Florian questions the emotion displayed by BJ Penn at today's weigh-ins.

Who is the weird looking guy above Silva’s right shoulder? He looks like Vitor circa 1997.

bwahahaha

A wise man told me don't argue with fools
Cause people from a distance can't tell who is who
Yep. Apparently they finally scrapped him off the canvas in St. Louis.

look at the size difference
between Silva and Griffin. Griffin is a lot bigger and he will only get bigger come fight time. And he’s ripped. Meanwhile, Silva has a bit of flab on. How much weight will he put on in the next 24 hours, and will that do him any good?
And saying that BJ looked small? It looked like you could fit Kenny inside BJ and have them still make 185.
Don't believe a word I say, I don't train BJJ.
I blog at TangleBones - you should follow me on Twitter here.

This is Kenny and for only 3 cents a day you can feed him, send him to school, and get him the proper medical attention that he needs. That’s less than $1 a month to save this childs life.

I think Sally has been skimming off the top and taking a few of those kids’ meals.
I don’t think they’re actually going to let him kill me... And if he does kills me, book sales will really go up. Boom…win-win, bitch.- Forrest Griffin on Anderson Silva

She encased him in carmel.

The feds did that and presented it as a gift to her. So no, she didn’t directly kill Kenny.
Actually none of that matters, as Kenny was probably still alive anyway.
Deo Wade
for just 15 cents you can fix his cleft lip and send him to Oxford
i finish fights!!!!!!
if kenny beats penn, imagine the shake down in the LW div. if penn wins, i think he’ll def call out gsp. he wouldnt miss an oppurtunity like that. he’ll def get a reaction from the crowd (mostly gsp fans) that will put both dana and gsp on the spot. he might not get an immediate rematch, but he will def seal a future bout, also it may end up non title.
I could see BJ calling out GSP, but I don’t know if he’ll get the fight. He’s already lost 2 straight to an ever improving GSP. Not to mention the fact the GSP straight up wrecked BJ in last fight. I would watch the fight because I will watch any fight, but there would be NO doubt in my mind what the outcome would be, and that would be an even worse destruction that the last fight.
what if ufc decides to toss deigo n the octagon after the fight, much like they did with thiago alves, in any case its going to be epic, i cant wait. im just excited the LW belt is the on the line after such a long time.
diego has pretty much confirmed that he’ll be in the cage for a faceoff with whoever wins.
only way i see them giving bj another shot at gsp is if he gives up the lightweight belt… and that’s a huge if. i think even he knows (from his comments during the countdown show), that he needs to defend his title a few more times before they’ll even consider letting georges brutalize him again.
BJ with forced intensity?
If there’s any fighter out there with forced intensity, it’s Diego Sanchez…. and that guy tears it up. We’ll see tomorrow night. It’s going to be VERY interesting.
Forward Ever, Backward Never...
man did you see sanchez at the staredown at guida fight, it looked like he was going to burst an artery, but i dont think his intensity is fake, but all that YES bullshit is def made up.
Diego has the best staredowns.
PERIOD.

Clay Guida
the most non intimidating staredown. Looks like he wants to say “ROCK ON!”

Are you ignorant dude? Diego is just a different type of guy none of his antics are forced or made up

Well he sure forces it onto his opponents and it seems to work
so I’d say it’s not fake
Congrats Kenny, while BJ goes home with the lightweight championship belt at least you’ll have the sacrifice and preparedness belt.

I am sick of Florian acting like he has achieved more than BJ. Florian has been 100 times more cocky than BJ has been for this fight.
I live in Philly and decided to roll to the Weigh-ins with two friends i convinced to liking MMA. We were bummed because we missed the autograph session, Forrest Griffin is fucking huge. Matt Serra remembered me from wizardworld or wtf ever convention he was here for AND last but not least…..RENZO was there! met him and got pictures.
Oh and BJ’s mom was def. @ the weigh in taking pictures with people

a day before ufc 101
I watched the count down show, the weigh ins, press conference, and some fights from main even fighters so I’m ready.
Anderson vs Forrest will be fun, but I will have to agree with anderson when he says Robert Dryadale is an idiot! Forrest submitting Anderson? Hmm…. If Forrest wins its by decision. But I call anderson by tko round 2. But Forrest wins round 1.
Kenny has a big mouth as does his coaches, kill bj? Yeah okay. Bj wins this fight by tko. Everyone talks about kennys evolution but bj is still leaps and bounds better then the lw division.

I don’t think anything Drysdale said about Anderson’s BJJ was inaccurate. Anderson kinda rubbed me the wrong way when he said things like who is Robert Drysdale and that he is an idiot. It’s not like the guy is a world champion in BJJ or anything…
yea... but
A. Silva is trained in BJJ by the Nog Brothers, and this is MMA… not strictly grappling…
I'm like PacMan fightin you silly kids... throw ya Hatton the ring, and get knocked outlike Ricky did.
lol.
