Lesnar Signs New Contract.
After the UFC 101 pre-fight press conference, Dana mentioned that Brock Lesnar has signed a new contract with the UFC.
Some had speculated that he might be lured away to Strikeforce to match up with Fedor.
I will be very curious to see where his downside is at. After the success of his last two bouts, Brock has proven himself to be a huge draw. It is likely that he becomes the highest paid fighter.

next step randy.. then probably next would be any opponent fedor has outside..
If they get Monson, or if they’re lucky, one of the three they mentioned (overeem, werdum, rogers), that would leave them scrambling to book fedor with decent heavies..

randy is a different kind of guy. he hasn’t resumed his announcing roles, he MAY (pure speculation) not be willing to be a part of the UFC machine anymore. he may very well fight 2 more fights in the UFC and go to strikeforce to face fedor. it seems like a fight randy wants for randy
I'm old school hating Lesnar, I've been hating Lesnar since '08
I don’t get why people think this.
He quit because they offered Fedor more money.
He kept going because Affliction said they could give him a bunch of money and he would sell a bunch of PPVs.
After Affliction; banned bombed, and the UFC had a money fight for him (Brock) he went back.
It’s not about fighting Fedor, it’s about money. Strikeforce can’t match Zuffa’s money, Strikeforce can’t get Randy.

if the UFC promises randy a rematch,
or a title shot at 205 with a win over Nog.. I doubt he’d say no..

I can see Randy going bye bye just to face Fedor.
GSP: I pulled my groin.
Greg Jackson: I don't care Georges! HIT HIM WITH YOUR GROIN!
Randy Couture, at 131 years of age
That’ll be like trying to burn your house down for an insurance claim after already failing at it.
I STILL poop rainbows.
Lured away?
Lesnar is traditionally a very sensible businessman and has been extremely loyal to his organizations (honoring his verbal commitment to the Gophers when there was speculation he was being courted by other schools, wrestling exclusively with WWE until he did a few one off shows in Japan to pay his bills, saying that he would only play for in the NFL for the Vikings or not at all). Brock is no Fedor; he knows where the getting is good— the job security is near fail safe, the PPV shares are monstrous and he has the best opportunities to market his image and gain more lucrative sponsors.
You think he’d leave for a 500/500 and the one fight with Fedro? No chance.
I STILL poop rainbows.
he also said that he doesn't care about fedor..
but yeah, your examples are good. ;)

If I were Lesnar's Agent I would have said.
Look Dana. I have the most marketable fighter on the planet. He’s pulled in record everything in the shows hes’ fought in. He just finished two of your top fighters.
You just offered a chubby Russian who fights nobodies 5 million per fight with a bunch of concessions. You know Brock is a MUCH bigger draw and he would eat that Russian for Breakfast.
If I’m Dana I gladly keep Brock happy and pay him something around the 5 million per fight that he is asking for.
LOL at
he would eat that Russian for Breakfast
Brock would be embarrassed by Fedor at this point in time. His transitions are so slow it’s painful to watch.
Fedor would either knock him on his ass standing and finish him with strikes or a sub on the ground, or would rip off one of Brock’s arms the second he posted one on the mat.

Or more than likely Brock would take Fedor down put him up against the fence and smash his face into a million pieces and have all his fanboys in tears afterwards.
Haha
It’s cute that you’re so mind fucked by the UFC’s hype engine.
The shots Randy was hitting Brock with would’ve killed him if they were from Fedor. Not to mention the multiple submission opportunities he had. And unlike Mir, Fedor doesn’t say ’Here’s a takedown, go ahead- have it’.
I see him (T)KOing/ Subbing Lesnar in the 2’nd

M1 couldn’t have stopped Lesnar from signing with Strikeforce.

Brock has 2 settings:
- Smash
- Get on top of wife
He will be on setting #1 for the Fedor fight that will never happen.

Oh, you mean that one loss in his second fight that he avenged?
I almost forgot about that. I’ll bet the majority of casuals already have.

Yeah, like Blackout said, I doubt Lesnar’s agent had to do a whole lot of convincing. It probably went something like this:
Dana: we’ll give you this much
Agent: we want two times that
Dana: how about 1.85 times?
Agent: deal
I don’t think they’re actually going to let him kill me... And if he does kills me, book sales will really go up. Boom…win-win, bitch.- Forrest Griffin on Anderson Silva
