is strikeforce a conference call or an actual press conference?
I'm old school hating Lesnar, I've been hating Lesnar since '08
conference call. but wouldn’t you assume some of these media folks might wanna be covering both? i dunno… maybe i’m overlooking something obvious. just seems like poor planning to me.
Dana is pissed about all the boxing talk

I’m around D.C. actually, was able to catch them on the rare occasion they ventured forth from Cleveland, but I first saw em in Cleveland when I was visiting the area; Had a blast seeing them, easily the best show I’ve been to.

Damn I’m probly going to miss out on points here. It looks a hell of a lot like the album art from Zombie Apocalypse’s stuff (Shai Hulud spin off). But the ATF is on the chest leading me to believe I’m wrong.
Blast, no points :(

Ah
I picked the most obscure of my Derek Hess tattoos (of which I have four), but yeah— Derek Hess. I know him, he knows them (he did the album artwork for “In Perspective”), you like/know/have met them. Four degrees.
I STILL poop rainbows.
Ah alright, cool tattoo for sure. Knew the style at least looked familiar.

Also
I dig ATF.
That tatt was taken from an Unearth flyer Hess did in like 2002; that’s why it’s obscure. My opposite shoulder has one of his fine art pieces (Receding Tide).
I STILL poop rainbows.
Or is that like the First Blood art? I can’t remember!

Anderson Silva
…cleaned out the ENTIRE 185 lb division….
No.

I’m going to catch shit for this, but…
Add Ricardo Almeida after Saturday.

Isn't he att 170 now?
I like to believe he ran away from Silva after seeing he could barely hang with the bigger guys, let alone the Destroyer Of bigger boys.

No. Fighting Kendall Grove Saturday and the winner is rumored to be in the mix for a shot at some point. If that doesn’t happen, or he loses, i expect him to go ahead and make the drop.
Almeida is as/more dangerous than Leites on the ground and is actually willing to strike. They could do far worse (and have) for a title shot.

Catch shit?
You’re on the money, d00d. I’d love to see him fight Marquardt again if he loses to Maia.
I STILL poop rainbows.
Last time i brought him up, I caught Hell, lol.
And YES, that fight needs to happen at some point. My problem is, I like Maia, Marquardt and Almeida, so I’m all screwed up!

Almeida
is dropping to 170lbs and it is confirmed. This is his last fight at 185lbs.

How about avenging his embarrissing losses
To the three scrubs with a .500 record, He’s 6’2 and 210 normally, move up for gods sake, stop dodging the LHW division and fight some good opponents, Then some of this misplaced worship will end, Hell I’m 6’3 and weigh 220 and feel thin, I can’t imagine being 185, Does everyone think he’ll walk through Rampage, Evans, Machida? of course not, I’m a bit sick of hearing about how dominating he is, Who has he beat thats above average? Franklin, and a 38yr old Hendo, Those do not make him the best ever, not by a mile.
Doesn't anybody think before they speak/post anymore?

Okami
and Okami and I think Okami.

Meh, Silva knocked Okami out before coming to the UFC.
A man should never waste an opportunity to keep his mouth shut.
Illegal Blow
not impressed, can’t use that move in the UFC.

Have you seen that knockout? He kicked him in the face from guard. In my book that is Knockout of the Year, not a DQ.
A man should never waste an opportunity to keep his mouth shut.
It would have been alot better in Pride as it would have counted as a KO instead of a L.

I am a weird kind of fan. I prefer deserving fighters get title shots, even if they are boring. Call me CRAZY!

Generally, no
They usually have other people in the room as well. At UFC 100, they had a considerable number of people with VIP passes and so forth. Can’t guarantee that all reporters are sitting on their hands, but most of the ones I’d recognize aren’t clapping.

Florian knows how to speak spanish...in English.
Brad Ziegler had a scoreless inning streak. Brad Ziegler had not met BJ Upton.
But BJ beat Sherk
It’s for everyone, now! After he said Dana looks good at the conference, I thought he would accuse him, too.
I STILL poop rainbows.
Someone ask Dana where are the video blogs

He hasn’t been doing them because he was in Abu Dhabi….he tweeted and said that the Vlogs wouldn’t be available until he got to Philly…and I guess he just got back like yesterday or something…

Press Conferences
For some of the uninitiated, press conferences are a useless tool anymore. Writers are afraid to ask good questions because all another reporter has to do is include the original requestor in their quote and they can be scooped. Most good reporters save their tough questions for the one-on-ones after the conference is over. Its really a pissing contest. What a joke.
if BJ loses to Florian
somebody better put BJ on suicide watch
