#1 Male Fighter in MMA?

GSP has something to say about that. Oh wait, no… he’s to classy to do that.

But I’m sure Mir will be sure to step up and throw Miguel Torres’ name in there.

#1 Female Fighter?

Ok popularity wise maybe. Plus isn’t there only like 5 female fighters?

Frank is happy Tito is back in the UFC. He won’t have to fight him and can still go around saying he beat Tito.

Yet accurate

I wouldn’t say Gina is the #1 ranked female fighter.

You can make a case for Fedor though but I still have Anderson Silva and GSP above him, with Torres right there and Mike Brown and Machida moving up on him fast…

  1. 145 lbs female fighter that people know in America.

yeah

I don’t really get “#1 MMA fighter in the world” for Fedor. #1 Heavyweight, sure, but #1 OVERALL? Cooommmme ooooooon maaaaaan.

Since he is a heavyweight

You’d have to think he is the “Best” fighter on the planet. Unless you think GSP or Anderson Silva can go up to Heavyweight and beat him?

this

I had a reply all typed out, but blackout summed it up much more succinctly for me.

also

(and let the flaming start) I could very well see Silva beating Fedor from 205. It would certainly take some saavy though.

Ugh… BROCK LESNAR!

by Screwface on Aug 4, 2009 6:01 PM EDT via mobile up reply actions   0 recs

That’s been argued here in the past, and it’s tough to be too furious about either side of the argument, given that there’s no way to properly approach it. It’s sort of a “what-if” scenario.

However; some people were giving credence to Vitor as a credible opponent to Fedor two weeks ago, and some of those same people would disregard the notion of Silva vs Fedor with a wave of their hand. It’s not so hard keeping track of allegiances, you see!

I STILL poop rainbows.

Before we get carried away...

Fedro might not be the best fighter in his weight class in his organization. Rogers and Overeem both have the ability to beat him.

Also, before I get flamed, I’ve never been a Fedor fan.

by Screwface on Aug 4, 2009 6:04 PM EDT via mobile reply actions   0 recs

Fedor would have to do pretty rare mistakes for it to happen. But well…“THIS IS MMA!” right.
