Wanderlei and Anderson Hug it Out

Andersonsilva-wandi_medium

Sounds like feuding ex-Chute Boxe teammates Wanderlei and Anderson Silva (or "Wanderson," as they've been dubbed by the MMA tabloid media) won't be squaring off anytime soon after all.

Both fighters were in Portland this weekend for UFC 102 - Wand cornering Maia, Anderson helping Nog - and while they shared the same space a few times at pressers and weigh-ins, it was a chance meeting that found the two making amends. Tatame reports:

With the two having supper in the same restaurant, Wanderlei's physical conditioning coach, Rafael Alejarra, acted as mediator and called Anderson over, so that they could "finish with this." After an emotional hug, the two had patched up the friendship and Anderson... offered his aid in Wanderlei's training.

Thats good, at this point I don’t want to see Wand make a run for the 185 title…let’s just win a few fights and end on a high note.

To be honest

Wand looked sluggish against Franklin @ 195. I think MW is just too big a cut for Wand to be sharp.

If anything, maybe a dream match w/ Randy at LHW, and then maybe a rematch w/ Chuck or something (just for shits and gigs). Hell, have him fight Coleman even

Watch out for Wandy! He is now going to be energized by the martial arts training of the Spider!

for all intents and purposes, just consider all my posts as works of satire.

Are they sure it was an emotional hug and not fighting for a Muy Thai plum?
