UFC 102 Results: Thiago Silva Finishes Keith Jardine Fast
Two fighters coming off losses met in the Octagon tonight in the second billed fight on the card. Brazilian Thiago Silva last faced now champion Lyoto Machida in an elminator match between undefeated fighters. He lost that match but came back strong against UFC star Keith Jardine.
Before the fight, the debate centered around whether or not Thiago Silva would salvage his standing as an elite light heavyweight. He did.
Keith Jardine cemented his unfortunate reputation as an erratic fighter who is prone to being caught by early blitzes. His chin failed him again as Silva caught him standing and followed him down for the finish on the ground.
