Jason David Frank: Former Power Ranger Makes the Move to MMA
The former action star from the hit series "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers" has officially made the move to mixed martial arts, and while training with UFC lightweight Melvin Guillard, he hopes to make his real fighting experience as successful as he did on television.
"I was supposed to fight in 2007, but it fell through. In truth, I’ve wanted to put the work in until I’m ready. I know I have a target on my back. Everyone is going to want to beat up the Green Ranger. But I am no Kimbo; I’ve been training for a very long time. I wanted to get in there before, but I got injured. But I’ll be ready when the time comes."
"My style was missing the ground fighting. I have my blue belt in BJJ from Gracie Baja now, but we needed to have that ground game integrated into Tose Kune Do. There was a blank there. So we added wrestling, BJJ, etc., to it. Melvin Guillard has really helped add the wrestling."

he’s a decorated karate practitioner and seems to be a decent muay thai fighter..

Thats a negatory. He’s got the mount. Like ElliotMatheny says below me/(blow me) the red ranger has the high mount. Not even close to a triangle in terms of looks.

He has high mount, and has an arm trapped… he’s probably working for an armlock. His base is pretty high though, so the guy on bottom might be able to sweep him, stack him up, and pass to side.
PS- that is kind of disappointing to me… I mean honestly, you’d think that the Red Ranger would at least be doing straight porn. Isn’t there more money in gay porn?

To be honest
I’m more of a yellow ranger fan…
Looking back on it… I kinda think Power Rangers was a little racist. The Yellow Ranger was the only Asian, and the Black Ranger was the only black guy on the show. All they would’ve needed was for Jason to be Native American and they would’ve had a trifecta of racism

and it's an established MMA veteran teaching a karate guy..
of course he’s gonna learn a lot from him..
even unknown fighters run their own MMA gym, so i don’t get why that’s an issue for you.. plus as elliot said, he did wrestle in HS..

It looked like the guy’s trainer was the only one complaining. Tsesura didn’t seem too eager to continue. They were talking to each other in the corner and the trainer waved the fight off.
