Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson Is NOT B.A. Baracus
"MTV has confirmed that [former] UFC champ Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson has not been cast as B.A. Baracus in the coming big screen adaptation of The A-Team."
P.S. The Sun is the MMABay of entertainment news.

If the Sun is the MMABay of entertainment news, shouldn’t MMABay using (and quoting, for a change) the Sun as their source been a double negative, making the story true?

This movie will fail.......BAD
Good to see MMA stars getting mainstream attention though.

What I’m trying to figure out is why many site reported this information, including Yahoo! . . . and didn’t realize the information came from the SUN!
Serious journalism, source-checking FAIL.

Thank god. I could do without Rampage’s hammy acting…

The Sun has also reported Eddie Murphy would be the Riddler & Megan Fox would be Catwoman in the next Batman film, so…yeah…

The Sun is the MMABay of any news. An utter rag of a paper.

Rampage Not BA Baracus
MMAJunkie had picked this up, so I was hopeful that, despite being reported by The Sun, the story had some credibility.
Now, there’s no one they could cast that wouldn’t be a disappointment for me.

Have Rampage and the guy they pick fight for it.

Glad to see we won’t need subtitles to understand all of BA’s lines…

I don’t have any trouble understanding him. I don’t know where this comes from. “Stinky Skunk” clear as day.

funny thing
That a great deal of reputable sites were posting this story, when a blog called FilmDrunk (sort of a sarcastic “FightLinker-esque” but much better blog) was calling immediate B.S. Since the Sun was the source and recognizing it’s MMABay stature.
Sad that avg Joe Blows are much more cognizant and vigilant about these types of things than sites like Yahoo, that presumably have a large base who follow them for their “news”.

Man
What a missed opportunity for that movie.

Yeah...
they missed the opportunity to have Rampage “act” in it. A real loss for moviegoers everywhere.

Rampage could handle that role. Its not dramatic, its all pitying fools and so forth. Even a big goof like rampage can do it. In fact his over the top stuff he pulls every time a camera is on him would do just fine.

It’s not like he’s filling a role played by an acclaimed actor, it’s Mr. T for gods sake.

So mmabay had something to say about this...
I responded with the following:
So what if this is another rumor and mistake/assumption of yours? Are you gonna backtrack or just take the post down? You guys should directly talk to Jackson or someone over at the wolfslair (since you guys are in so tight with them) instead of posting as “exclusive” when in reality you’re only getting these breaking news stories through other sites.
Another thing, you must really care about what “the idiots over at BE” have to say if you’re going out of your way to check the site daily. You truly win or get nothing out of always trying to be the first at breaking news. It’s better to be reliable than assume and then later look like a jackass and lose credibility within the MMA community.
I (and I’m sure others) come on this site mainly for UK MMA/Wolflair news for obvious reasons. I’ll admit, I did used to come on here to get a kick out of your “rumours” and “exclusives” to later watch them flop. Anyway, I’m not on here to shit talk, I just read this and wanted to put in my 2 cents on this whole thing.

Breaking News!
MMAbay reports that they have a “personal source” that Rampage is BA Baracus!

For a moment, I thought I should write a story about this 'news'...
..then I considered the source.
