Shooto Announces "Shooting Disco 10: Twist & Shooto"
Shooto has announced the latest installment in their Gutsman-sponsored "Shooting Disco" series, replete, as always, with an excellent name ("Twist & Shooto"). Two highly-ranked Pacifc Rim middleweights will square off in the main event as Yoichiro Sato goes for his fourth win of 2009 against the tough "Buffalo" Niimi. #10-ranked bantamweight Masaaki Sugawara will meet ALIVE's Hiroyuki Tanaka, who's not done very well since his return last year but did beat Guam's Jesse Taitano in November. Also in action are #4 flyweight "Heat" Takeshi and 2007 Shooto Bantamweight Rookie Champion Kenji Hosoya, still looking for his first victory since winning the tournament.
Here are the fights confirmed so far:

Great name as usual
I hope “Brave Heat” Sato gets back to his slick winning ways—ATCH Anarchy proved scrappier than I had anticipated (and certainly more game than the opponents that Sato recently looked intriguing against).
I still think Sato could offer some interesting bouts in the emerging division.
It ends in an armbar or a strangle regardless.
How exactly does one actually watch these smaller Japanese events like Shooto, DEEP, Pancrase, ZST, et. al.? Do we just have to wait til they hit Youtube? Of course if the answer is something more… illegal than that, I won’t expect anyone to post it.
Unfortunately, the promotions you mentioned hardly ever air events live. Shooto and Pancrase air on at least a week – and up to a few months – delay on Samurai TV (Japanese satellite channel) and there are a few kind souls out there who cap the (heavily edited) shows for the rest of us slobs. I forget if DEEP is on there too, and ZST has some TV deal so bad that their stuff is near impossible to find.
GoForkYourself is pretty awesome, and I try to upload DEEP, Pancrase and Shooto stuff to my YouTube account when I can.
