EVIL ALWAYS TRIUMPHS BECAUSE GOOD IS DUMB

"I think Cyborg said it best – (the winner) is going to be determined by the person who makes the least amount of mistakes or the one who gets caught first." - Bloodied face of women's MMA Gina Carano, leading up to her historic fight with Cristiane "Cyborg" Santos.  Cyborg battered Carano before Josh Rosenthal stepped in at 4:59 of the first round. (MMA Mania)

"Whoever Scott Coker puts in [the cage] to face me, I’ll face, but if Gina wants a rematch, she can have a rematch — no problem at all." - Queen of the cage Cris "Cyborg" Santos. (MMA Fanhouse)

"The judge’s showed a little sign that said 4:59 seconds and I think the stoppage was good for Gina’s health." - Santos.  The stoppage was also good for the sexual health of horny MMA fans worldwide.

Star-divide

NO FAT CHICKS

"We took a lot of proactive measures to make sure didn't happen. We were weighing the girls all week." - Strikeforce CEO Scott Coker, on efforts taken to protect their main event.  And I thought Vegas showgirls had it rough. (Cage Writer)

"He told me, ‘Hey, baby, you need to train; you’re too fat; you need to train.’" - Carano, describing what she was told by the instructor at her boyfriend's Muay Thai gym.  Nice neg hit, sir. (Las Vegas Sun)

"It would be pretty funny to watch because I’d get emotional and try and knock his head off and he would have to gently put me in my place." - Carano, on sparring sessions with said boyfriend.  Many of their sessions ended with Gina cleaning and making sandwiches.

WHO WANTS TO SEE ME GET FINISHED AT 155?

"I figured that I definitely won the second and third [rounds]." - Kenny Florian, on his fight with B.J. Penn at UFC 101.  Let me know when "hold opponent against the fence" is a valid offensive strategy. (Cage Writer)

"The commissioner came over to me and said that a couple of the judges had me winning the first couple rounds, I was two to one, or one of the judges had me all three, I don't know exactly what happened, but he told me that a couple of the judges may have had me winning." - Florian.  Sounds like a couple judges who's services are no longer needed.

PELLEGRINO CONTINUES HITTING NEER LIKE BITCH

"I was complaining about the ref standing us up because c'mon he can't stand us up one time?" - Josh Neer, who doesn't comprehend the purpose of standups, complaining about his UFC 101 fight with Kurt Pellegrino. (The Underground Forums)

"I watched the same ref being buddy buddy with all the guys on the card from New Jersey." - Neer.  Classy.

"I beat you because of my game plan Josh, not because of the ref. You just made it easier because I counted on you doing what you were doing in the fight and you never once sprawled, it was too easy to take you down." - Pellegrino. DAGGER.

TAKE IT AWAY, MARIACHI CAT

"Brian Bowles just woke up a sleeping giant." - Former WEC bantamweight champ Miguel Torres.  Interesting because I thought Bowles put the giant to sleep. (Fight Hype)

"(People) said I took too many punches after the fact, but you know what man? I talk to all of the referees before the fight and I let them know that’s the way I want to go out." - Torres.

"I don’t want there to be a question of if I was okay still or still awake." - Torres.

PARTING SHOTS

"After 1-2 rights I felt he was a little bit dizzy, so I gave him some more — for better results." - New Strikeforce light heavyweight champ Gegard Mousasi, showing why English as a second language brings the funny. (Showtime)

"I know people will say I don’t have a chance, but I destroyed the guy who handed Fedor his only loss." - Former UFC heavyweight champ Ricco Rodriguez, on a potential fight with Fedor Emelianenko.  If only Ricco loved logic as much as he loved eating. (Cage Report via MMA Mania)

"I’d like to get a fight with St. Pierre again, but now that Diego Sanchez is next, once we get the word from Dana White, that’s what we’re gonna be thinkin’ about." - UFC lightweight champ B.J. Penn.  Thinking about Sanchez until a reporter asks him about GSP and everyone is up in arms about where his head's at.  Sigh... (Hawaii Tribune-Herald)

"To us it's a ringing endorsemnent of what we've done and what we've accomplished." - VP of Showtime Sports Programming Ken Hershman, brushing off UFC President Dana White's disparaging remarks. (Cage Writer)

"He wasn’t injured. He’s an emotional guy and he just didn’t feel like sticking around." - Xtreme Couture striking coach Ron Frazier, on Forrest Griffin's quick exit from UFC 101.  I use the same line in the morning. (Fight Hype)

"Fat Gina" could get the business before "Skinny Gina"

"He built his whole reputation (as a) waffle house chef. They've been serving him up ham and eggs with a side of canned tomatoes." - Don Frye on Fedor Emelianenko

Carano, on sparring sessions with said boyfriend. Many of their sessions ended with Gina cleaning and making sandwiches.

First of all, who is this D bag boyfriend of hers? Second, what was she wearing while making said sandwiches?

Walla walla walla I'm an idiot.

Ah Ricco...

Anyone with even a cursory knowledge of Fedor’s “loss” was due to an illegal blow but was scored as a loss thanks to a technicality in tournament rules.

The same people also know the Fedor also “destroyed” the guy in a rematch. But good to know your balls are as big as your stomach.

BJ

It’s not the fact that he is thinking about a rematch before the kenflo fight, it’s the fact that he is still actively thinking about a rematch and actually planning it.

“After 1-2 rights I felt he was a little bit dizzy, so I gave him some more — for better results.” – New Strikeforce light heavyweight champ Gegard Mousasi, showing why English as a second language brings the funny.

Being deutsch-armenian, it’s even probably his thrid language. I’m pissed about this fight, I had my money on mousasi for almost a week and changed my mind at the last minute.

You don't look like a Tanaka.

Deutsch and Dutch are two different things. Deutsch is the German word for ‘German’, the Dutch are the people from the Netherlands.

I wonder how Evangelista feels, knowing that his wife is a better fighter than he is.

I gotta respect that. He wants to go out like a man so that way there is no debate about whether he was out. I can’t wait to see what he comes back like after this. I bet it lit a fire under his ass.
