Carano Future; Follow The Formula To Success(American Thinking)

 Optional title: Wag the Dog

Ok, so Carano got beat down by Cyborg. I and many others are not surprised.

Carano had and still does have a lot of hype. Now is the time to make some moves.   Carano2_medium

The goal is to get a career in acting. She has to stop fighting soon. One more fight

that she can win and maybe a re-match against Cyborg and thats it. It is very important that she not get her nose

broken or endure any facial damage that cannot be easily repaired by plastic surgery. She may not even need

to fight again. Next step is to do something that will really get the blood flowing to the male

audience penis. Carano3_medium

Rumors of a sex tape won't do it. An actual sex tape has to be released

or some kind of Playboy spread. After that it is time for a  reality show of basic design. Something

that plays the fight angle or some kind of dating theme. Follow this with a super sexy

commercial during the Super Bowl and then a supporting role in a major motion picture.

Carano money train leaves the station in approx. 3 - 4 years.

would you ever say this about a male fighter?

Does Forrest Griffin need a sex tape after his last loss?

apples and oranges.

Forrest wants to be a fighter. The premise of this post is that Gina’s end game is not fighting, it’s acting and moving into the hollywood world.

who decided that?

it seems carano wants to fight, as she keeps fighting at pretty much the highest level there is

THat’s what he is saying.

he is saying that she doesn’t want to be a fighter. If she does want to be a fighter, this whole post is useless, but you aren’t arguing that, you’re making a comparison that makes no sense.

Our first clue was The American Gladiator thing. She already came in through the TV entertainment door. Watch last night’s fight again and you will see Carano desperately trying to cover her face from damage. Make no mistake. Carano has a management team that smells $$$.

That is not the point. When I first read the post, I was just thinking it was kind of despicable to make those statements. However, Warhand is on in making a point, that this has become the easy and all to common route to becoming (in)famous in our society and furthering/resurrecting a career.

Reality shows and sex tapes/nude pics is the easy route in a voyeuristic world.

Thank you

You get it. The key is the (American Thinking) part of the title. Don’t tell everybody though. The post won’t stir up any BE controversy if everyone understands it so clearly.

Is it sad though?

That this formula will actually work in making Carano and team tons of money and launching her into the celebrity spot light for a long time to come.

There could certainly be an interesting article written about whether Carano actually wants to continue in the fight game, or whether she would rather achieve fame in other ways. Such an article could make comparisons both to female athletes who became known more for their attractiveness than their sporting talent and to other mixed martial artists who transitioned to the pure entertainment industry.

This post does neither: it blankly assumes that Carano doesn’t care for fighting, and then further assumes that she should do pornography if she wants to really have a career.

In my opinion this post fails on every level and is demeaning to a host of parties including Gina Carano, female athletes and male sports fans. I would have added the internet mixed martial arts fan community, but the sad fact is that this is rather par for the course.

It ends in an armbar or a strangle regardless.

And, if I missed some sort of big satirical point—as hinted at in the comments above that I didn’t fully read before my post—I only wish I had flagged it as “troll” instead of “inappropriate.”

If you’ve got a clever point to make, you’ve got to make it better than that, because some asshole like me will come through and not get the point at all…

It is nothing more than the lay out of a formula to achieve further celebrity status and tons of money in this country. It really says nothing about what Carano wants to do. There are many ways for Carano to “really have a career”.

Yeah, real satire is better written…this Fanpost just looks like you’re being a dick.

Well, if laying out a formula for Carano that will launch her into super celebrity stardom and net her truckloads upon truckloads of cash without subjecting her to the dangers and inherent consequences of a professional MMA career makes me sound like a dick then I guess I am a dick.

lol….i like you. A pimp who can get his ass kicked by his ho is not a very successful pimp.

This post is pretty realistic of how a female can make money in America…based on the premise that Carano is done fighting or will be done fighting soon, the fanpost shows the American ways for her to make money post-fight career…

“American Thinking” gives it away that he’s half serious, half saying how ridiculous it is for any decent looking girl to become famous (some for doing nothing, Carano has fighting though)….

by Reaser16 on Aug 16, 2009 2:35 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

This hypothetical exercise is mislabeled as far as I’m concerned. I say that because it’s not exclusively American to use looks and digital media as a launching point for a career (and I use the term loosely) as a pop culture figure.

I think there’s a presumption embedded that she would want to quit fighting, and I haven’t picked up on that inclination at all. I don’t know what Gina plans for the future, but she’s fought and shown that she has skills as a fighter. Certainly, she’s leveraged her looks to her benefit, but I don’t see it as particularly constructive to speculate on whether or not she’s done after one loss since I don’t see any new information that would lead me to believe she’s leaning one way or the other.

May I volunteer to star in the video with her?

I’m willing to do whatever it takes to help Gina get her career back on track.

Walla walla walla I'm an idiot.

Gina

isn’t hot enough to be an a-list Hollywood actor. She’s too thicky thick to make it in that realm; her best shot is to keep fighting, and if she can mount a comeback and snatch a title, then maybe she can use the whole fighting angle to gain fame and fortune.

But i’d watch the hell out of a Carano sex tape

She needs to be in the next Street Fighter movie as Cammy or something.

by Bandaka on Aug 17, 2009 3:56 AM EDT reply actions   0 recs

Or even Chun Li

Wouldn’t be the first time a Caucasian played and Asian and unlike the girl from Smallville, Gina has something approaching the thick thighs of “the World’s Strongest Woman” Would it kill somebody to make a balls to the walls action flick that just happens to star my favorite video game characters?
