I never even saw an announcement that he was signed, and then they slide this fight under the radar by just putting it up on the website. Kinda odd.

Honestly, Matyushenko should win. I’ve seen Igor fight a few times through a plethora of MMA events I’ve got loaded on a terabyte drive somewhere. The name sounds familiar, but I only linked it with the fact he’s with Team Cro Cop.

Vlad rebounding from his devastating loss against Lil Nog in Affliction. I wonder if the UFC will deem him too boring.
What do you know, another free agent scooped up by the UFC.
There will be a hell of a lot of KOs at 103
Keep firing Assholes!
Damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead.
The UFC is leaving Strikeforce nothing to work with. Who is there for either Babalu or Mousasi after that fight, given that Lil Nog seems likely to also move to the UFC?
Why haven’t they signed Lil Nog yet anyway?

he’s fighting on that brazilian card with arona (can’t remember the name). perhaps they’re waiting to see how both of them do before making a decision?

There really is nobody left at Light Heavyweight outside of the UFC. Babalu, Mousasi, Soko, & Nogueira can only fight each other so often. And Nogueira isn’t exactly a shoe in to fight in Strikeforce.
Vlad back in the big show?
Did not see that one coming. Good for him, though. Like to see the old school (middle school?) guys get paid now that the money tap is wide open.

Vlad's old school.
I mean, his first win was a neck crank submission over Vernon White in 1997. How much older does it get?
FWIW, I agree ...
… but I didn’t want anybody calling me a n00b because I called someone who didn’t compete in UFC 3 “Old School.”

Well this one came out of nowhere
And for what it’s worth, Emerson-Dos Anjos and Lauzon-Oliveira are now official on UFC.com as well.
No, it didn't
Its from the Affliction deal the UFC made. Vlad was part of the Affliction contracts handed over to them.

By out of nowhere
I meant that none of the usual rumor sites picked up on it, and that Pokrajac’s signing wasn’t evident recently either.

Definitely. With Rickson still wanting to compete the UFC could forget about Fedor altogether. No weight class senior division tournament. Whoever wins gets life insurance.
