Very nice!!!!!
I realize those numbers are pretty impressive, but considering how impressive the fights were compared to UFC 101, do you think they would have generated anywhere close to that if it had been a PPV?
I'm the kind of girl who loves to watch a GOOD fight!

Not sure about that, but I am wondering how many of those viewers watched UFC 101 the night before – what would give a good idea of the ppv buy numbers for UFC 101

This is above their nomal average of about 500K-600K viewers. Good job by WEC. This is as good as they can do without Faber on the card, ATM.

it’s really good for Versus as well

You know Torres was fighting on there, don’t you?
GSP: I pulled my groin.
Greg Jackson: I don't care Georges! HIT HIM WITH YOUR GROIN!

Just for comparison
Sunday nights meaningless NFL “Hall of Fame” game drew 7.9 million viewers.
Draw from that what you will.
It ends in an armbar or a strangle regardless.

Yankees/Red Sox on Sunday drew 5.3 million, I imagined that would have outdrew the Football, but I guess meaningless or not it is the first football of the year (not counting CFL, which is interesting but unappreciated).
It ends in an armbar or a strangle regardless.

Fighters' Pay
I still can’t believe how little money the fighters in the WEC make…especially considering that I enjoyed the fights a lot more than UFC 101!

Those numbers are really good for the WEC on Versus and added to the million it got for WEC 41 it shows that the WEC continues to build momentum as the home for the best lightweight fighters in the world.
