WEC 42: Miguel Torres vs. Brian Bowles Post Fight Presser
Miguel Torres: "Brian hits really hard. In this sport one shot can change anything. I was on top for a long time, with no threat. Brian is one of those guys, I didn't see the shot that he hit me with and it was a big shot and it's changed his career. And it's going to be fun for me to get back like I said."

I think Torres was getting complacent and he paid the price last night.

It was almost exactly what happened to Amir on Saturday – Miguel went in for the “kill” and got caught

that still pisses me off, I’ve watched it over and over and still can’t figure out what Dan saw – can we please get Big John back!

How about a warning for the shots to the back of the head too!

Miguel Toreres is all class
They should lock Forrest Griffin and Miguel Torres in a room together and maybe Torres will teach Griffin how to act like a professional.

To be fair, Torres wasn't able to get up, let alone run out of the ring.
But besides that, yeah, alot of fighters could learn from Torres’ professionalism.

Torres looked wild on his feet. Almost Griffin-esque with that final lunging combo before he went splat.

At least Torres had reason to come straight forward throwing (and landing) punches…Bowles looked legitimately rocked, but threw a hell of a short hook.
Theres a moral to this story. Don’t fucking chase another fighter and throw caution to the wind. A slower, stalking approach would have saved Torres. But damn Bowels hits hard.

no threat?
the maeda and mizugaki fights seemed pretty damn competitive.

i think he means in his mind...
He didn’t think he would lose, or could lose… Now he’s got to start over, and take the title back.
I'm like PacMan fightin you silly kids... throw ya Hatton the ring, and get knocked outlike Ricky did.
lol.

Torres says both that he saw the punch coming and couldn’t get out of the way and “…I didn’t see the shot that he hit me with …”

One punch?
Sorry Miguel, but he dominated you. He rocked you early, got a takedown, pummeled you from guard, and knocked you out. This was far from a lucky punch…
