July Was a Big Month for MMA and Bloody Elbow

Be0709_medium

It's been an amazing 2 1/2 years here at Bloody Elbow, but I think I speak for the whole staff when I say July 2009 was the craziest month of all. Thanks to Luke and the whole team, everyone who contributed to the community, everyone who just stopped by and read a few posts, all the MMA athletes who step up and give us something to talk about, Dana White and the whole team at the UFC for showing how it's done, Tom Atencio and the Affliction guys for trying, Fedor Emelianenko and his management team for making it interesting (just try and get Fedor in the cage or ring ASAP please). No thanks to Josh Barnett, it's time to fess up buddy.

August is looking to be one of the most stacked months in MMA history with two UFCs, Strikeforce, WEC and Sengoku, be sure and come back to BE often to keep on top of all the action.

Best! MMA site! Ever!

+1

I’ve recommended it to my casual friends who recently have been asking me more and more questions about the latest news on UFC/MMA.

Big thanks, everyone

This month has taught us all hard work pays off and that the sky is the limit for us if we want it.

Big thanks to Nate, who has done more than anyone these past 6 weeks to make this beast run.

Thanks to Nate, Luke, Brent and everyone

I’ve been coming to this site about a year now and that was the day I stopped going on those awful Sherdog forums [shudders]. Here you can have an intelligent MMA discussion without all of the useless Tits or GTFO or any of that other 4Chan reject nonsense. I appreciate and am thankful for all of the time all of you guys put into the site, even if I always disagree with some of you. Keep up the great work so that I can keep this site my homepage and I don’t have to go anywhere else.

About a month after I started getting into mma I started to feelgross everytime I read the sherdog forums so one day I went through and searched for mma blogs and started reading them. Well it did not take me long to realize BE was the place I was going to land. Thanks for all your hard work guys, and keep up the awesomeness.

I still think BE is the best place for new and opinion commentary for MMA content.
It really is the only place I come every day and usually multiple times per day.
Not just the content but the consistent monitoring of the commentary, there is a fine line between under and over moderated and I think this is why BE shines. Mods participating in the comments is important so that the site doesn’t turn into the ‘wild wild west’.. or worse.. sherdog/UG

Congratulations to BE it's well deserved. Thank you!!

Looking at that graph reminds me of something I have been wondering about. Can the growth in visitors to BE and/or other MMA sites somehow predict the growth of MMA?

by mattman73 on Aug 1, 2009 12:23 PM EDT reply actions

I wonder how closely the UFC follows that kind of information and how they utilize it? I’m way off topic but somehow I would think that information would be a great tool to show advertisers or networks the positive growth yet to come in MMA.

Just BE.

Congrats, guys!

It would be a long, boring 8 hours at work without BE.

You're welcome.

I plan on giving you even more page hits by the end of the year.

I love it here and I am glad I returned

My first account was deleted because I gave my opinion on something. It’s in the past and I am over it now.
