I wonder what BJ’s relationship with Oliveira is. I would almost believe he is there to train with BJ rather than having been brought in.

Oh man...

I was just starting to lean towards Florian having a chance. Now, not so much.

I think these are good training partners for fighting florian.

The diaz brothers are long and skinny like Florian. This is getting interesting.

The Diaz brothers with BJ? You wouldn’t think so many giant egos could all fit in one room.

I love me some Sexyama!

finally

BJ looks outside of his comfort zone. This might be the first time he hasn’t been surrounded by yes men in a few years. i guess that we can only hope it has a positive impact on his fighting. pud333, i couldn’t have said it any better. wonder how many times the word homey gets used before some smartassed hawaiian picks it up.

I love that the “yes men” meme just refuses to die.

by FRANKIE on Jul 7, 2009 6:06 PM EDT up reply actions

Yeah no shit....

he loses to possibly the best welterweight of all time and immediately people say he should change every single aspect of his life.

Finally.. BJ has real training partners..

on the countdown show, he mentioned some UFC fighters that train with him.. then the camera shows troy mandaloniz.. man.. don’t get me wrong, he’s pretty decent, but to prepare against GSP, that’s the one few best guys you have? damn man.

(did i get his name right? haha)

Nick Diaz

Great training partner for this fight.

Long range and great BJJ for MMA.

Can you really have BJ Penn and the Diaz brothers in one place without there being some sort of explosion from too densely packing the douche baggery?

Yves is pretty good too guys – don’t forget about his thugjitsu
