"I have a real good strategy to take Alves out." "Wrestling is a secret strategy wise, I have it all planned but its part of the game plan"

"I'm ready for his left hook, knees and his kick; they are lethal so I'm going to have to be very careful of that"

Translation-

I have no intention of standing with Alves at all, except to shoot for a takedown. This fight will be on the mat until Alves is too tired to stand & then I will strike with him.

Arguing on the internet is like being in the special olympics, even when you win you are still retarded.

Same plan that he used for BJ basically. He knew BJ was a dangerous too striker so…

I wonder if Alves sprawls and stuffs like 3 of GSPs takedowns will GSP get discouraged…

That could be true, but I didn’t get that from the interview, nor based on how GSP has structured his training camp, bringing in amazing MT guys like Skarbowsky.

Besides, if Alves can’t win the striking battle after grappling with GSP awhile, then he’s not the elite striker he thinks he is and certainly isn’t the better fighter.

GSP's mental state=win or loss

The question with GSP is always whether he is mentally prepared. Every interview I’ve seen with him so far has confirmed he’s ready. GSP doesn’t lose when that is the case because no one can outperform him… Alves is going to have a long night!
