Lavar "Big" Johnson (12-3) hospitalized after shooting according to Fanhouse.com:

"The Bakersfield Californian reports the incident occurred at a family reunion/Independance Day celebration at a residence in Bakersfield. When police arrived on the scene, five victims were found with gunshot wounds. Four were taken to a local area hospital with "minor to moderate" injuries, while the fifth was pronounced dead on the scene. The newspaper is reporting that Johnson "sustained a serious gunshot wound to his abdomen."

"It is unknown at this time whether his injuries are life or career-threatning."

"Lavar was not selected for TUF 10."

"Very sad news for me.I have traveled along in caravans including Lavar`s parents for his fights in Wargod events.I can tell you that Lavar was only shot 1 time in the stomach.I will update when I find out more."
