Quote of the Day: Cristiane "Cyborg" Santos

"Gina Carano comes from muay Thai and knows jiu-jitsu but is better standing up than on the ground." "I look for the muay Thai game in all my fights, but I’m also prepared to fight on the ground. I’ll keep the fight standing up and look for the knockout, but I’m preparing a special game for this fight, because whoever commits the fewest mistakes will win."

"I can’t have problems (missing weight) this time." "I promised it would never happen again, and I’ll keep my word. I already started the diet, and I don’t believe I’ll have problems. If it’s difficult for me, I believe it will be difficult for Gina, too, but I’m sure we will both be ready on the day of the fight and put on a great show for the fans."
-- Cristiane "Cyborg" Santos (7-1) talks to Sherdog.com about her advantage over Gina Carano (7-0) on the ground.

1st Ever Approximatly 135 Champ

I hope they didn’t put a big deposit on that belt… Gonna look bad when 1 or both bust weight and it goes right back to the shop

Or newly-created women’s 145 lb title?

Nah, let’s just make it a welterweight fight. That way we know they’ll both make it.

no way they are making 135. They have both had problems making 145. They really should be fighting each other at 150, so there is no problems with the weight. I’m going to see this live and they both better make weight god d@mn IT!

People need to get the facts straight.

They are fighting at 145. Gina as had problems making 140, not 145. Cyborg missed 145 last time due to “women problems”. Having said that, they should both be able to make 145.

The REAL Betting Odds

Since Cyborg is gonna go donkey kong on Carano, I could care less about the fight… real money is on the weights… I’m going with

Carano +3
Cyborg +7
