Affliction: Trilogy Preview - Renato "Babalu" Sobral

"We're two champions (Strikeforce vs. Dream), who says this fight isn't legit. It's a great match; because Mousasi's doing pretty well in Japan."

"Mousasi is hungry and young, but against him I have the experience, strategy and the fights’ in my backyard."

He does have the experience factor; 40 fights compared to 28.

But Mousasi’s last 5 fights: Mark Hunt, Ronaldo Souza, Melvin Manhoef, Dong Sik Yoon, Denis Kang. All victories, also he beat Musashi a heavyweight kickboxer in a K1 match, outside of MMA.

Not to make light of Babalu’s recent accomplishments, but he has fought Mike Whitehead, Bobby Southworth, Sokodoujou, Rodney Glunder, and David Heath, all victories as well.

I’d say Mousasi has fought better recent competition, and it was just over two years ago that Babalu got KTFO by Jason Lambert, whose striking pedigree can only be described as sub-par in comparison to Mousasi. (Remember the Judo Chop segment from Gouveia-Lambert?)

All in all, this is going to be an absolute battle for Babalu and I think he will underestimate Mousasi’s overall game.

Excellent fight though… Will Mousasi maintain his 12 (13 if you count K1) fight winning streak and pave his way into the 205lbs division? Or will Babalu’s experience and rejuvenated aspirations overcome the young Armenian?

This matchup just guarantees another L on Babalu’s record. I’ve always been a Babalu fan but Mousasi is going to put a beating on him. Theres no single area of weakness that Babalu can exploit.

Mousasi via TKO.

Really? I’ve got Babalu in this one.

"I see him beating Anderson Silva. I see him picking him apart. Him at a 131 years old...(trails off)." - Tito Ortiz on Vitor Belfort at Affliction:DOR

So do I . Might have something to do with him being one of my fav fighters. lol This is Mousasi’s biggest fight and stiffest competition yet so we don’t know how he’s going to perform yet. Plus Babalu has way more experience.

Babalu via Sub Rd 2.

My Babalu CAF in UFC Undisputed :)

That is pretty good

He looks slightly young but that’s almost a 10 out of 10. You make any other non-UFC characters? I have believe someone has a website that publishes this info.

Yeah there is a website and I used some of the template they had for Babalu but i changed some stuff around cuz I think I made him better. I have a Fedor I made from scratch that I think looks spot on and I made myself but that’s about it. Working on Torres right now. Gotta find the best hairstyle though cuz there are no mullets lol. Been wanting to make Nick Diaz, Overeem, Eddie Alvarez and Carwin.

I’ve only been able to make Beldar Conehead, he looks like Tito Ortiz . . . no joke.

I can’t wait until the winner of this fight beats the shit out of Tito in Strikeforce.
