Why is it that every time a fighter loses to Georges St. Pierre, he suddenly sucks? Matt Hughes is garbage after ruling 170 for years. BJ Penn was invincible at 155, then moved up to fight the new king of 170 and got dominated (which he should have, given the scenario) and suddenly people are saying he’ll lose to Kenny significantly-smaller-and-less-skilled-than-GSP Florian. Jon Fitch takes a beating for five rounds but never gives in and he just wasn’t that good to begin with. Matt Serra, one fight removed from destroying GSP, gets tooled and suddenly he’s completely irrelevant.
Now Thiago Alves has no takedown defense? Name someone that GSP couldn’t take down. And is this Paul Daley the same one who got schooled by Jake Shields? Thiago Alves would completely annihilate Semtex, Shields and pretty much anyone else at 170 outside of GSP and (likely) Jon Fitch.
By the way, most of this rant isn’t aimed at your post, I just find it funny how every time someone loses to GSP, his credentials are unfairly diminished.
would’ve liked to have seen Horodecki picked up too

He’d be a decent fit in the WEC.

I’m surprised they didn’t move Lauzon and Tractor to the WEC as well, not like their 155 division couldn’t use more help.
Unless they’re going to finally merge the two orgs.
i dont know about a full merge. i wouldn’t be shocked if they dropped the wec 155 class once they add a 125 though.
If logic is to be trusted, they’ll eventually move 155 to the WEC and reformat the UFC to 165, 175, and so on up to 205, maybe a cruiserweight (225-235) and heavyweight.

I do what I can.

I know everyone is sour on Logic right now..
But he says that 155 is moving to WEC and the UFC will add 165 + 195 (and that WW would/could boost to 175).
"The reason a rabbit outruns a fox is because the rabbit is running for his life and the fox is running for his dinner."
I really don’t see them moving weight classes OUT of the UFC, more likely the WEC will move classes in.
No
The fighters can stay and compete at 165.

Maybe next Summer
He’s probably not going to be able to book a fight before his 10th grade classes commence.

So I take it Buentello really isn’t in the UFC since they took his name off this list?

I find it odd that he would be picked up since he has a fight left with Strikeforce still.
I am not sure how that would work.
