Which set of conspiracy theories does this confirm? I got out of it that Fedor belongs to M-1, not the other way around.

I find it interesting that he says he has 3 fights left with M-1 and then says we’ll see after that. Maybe hes so insistent about this co-promotion thing b/c he has this contract with them for atleast 3 more fights. I wonder if the UFC should just let him have those 3 fights outside of the org and then talk to him after instead of getting in bed with M-1 and those scumbags.

Yeah, sounds like he doesn’t really have the choice to sign with the ufc regardless of what contract they offer unless M1 geen lights it. What would be interesting to hear is what the co-promoting that M1 wants to do entails, seems like beeing able to sport their logo in the octagon would mean more exposure than M1 beeing on the event poster with a miniature logo in the bottom right corner saying co-promoted by M1.
i read somewhere that fedors contract was with m1 for a certain number of fights(cant remember how many) or 2yrs…and the 2yrs is up in october..
if this is true then i say the ufc should wait it out and sign him in a few months

With most fight contracts, from what I have read, it’s usually the latter of the two. Meaning that his three remaining fights will have to happen no matter when the year expiration on the contract is. You usually have to fulfill the number of fights rather than the number of years.
That’s not true at all. With UFC contracts there’s a well defined contract term within which the set number of fights need to happen, otherwise the contract expires. There are nuances where if the fighter refuses the fight offer, the term gets extended, but that’s the gist of how it works.
Otherwise, the UFC could’ve froze-out guys like Arlovski indefinitely, and just kept them locked into their contracts until they budged at the negotiating table. Who knows what the M-1 arrangement is though.
It’s an interesting video – Fedor sounds like he’s content to fulfill his M-1 obligations for those 3 more fights, but sounds open to any possibility afterwards. It doesn’t sound like he has any personal interest in pushing the co-promotion agenda, so at the end of his M-1 contract term, it sounds like he would be willing to accept the UFC’s conditions.
Exclucivity
I don’t think that word means what you think it means
actually, it’s not even a word.
you mean “exclusivity”
