The Official UFC 100 Bloody Elbow Meet-up Thread

Star-divide

I know there will be several of us in Vegas next week to attend the Fanfest and/or fights and I would be interested in meeting with anyone who wants to. I'm not sure where the best place would be and how to coordinate it so I'm counting on everyone's help to hash things out in the comments. I'll be flying in Friday morning so either Friday or Saturday would be fine with me. Some ideas would be to meet at the fan expo, meet before or after the weigh ins, meet friday evening at a bar, or I'm open to anywhere else that you guys would prefer. I'm not trying to be the guy in charge of everything, I just want to get everyone else's opinion so those of us interested in meeting can get the details worked out ahead of time. I finally got my ticket for the fight today, I'll be in section 223 row C. I'd be happy to give my email and phone number out for anyone who wants it. Please let me know, it'd be great to spend some time in Vegas with other real MMA fans, I'm fu**ing cised for this event.

One more thing

I have an extra ticket to the Fanfest for Saturday (it came with my ticket to the fight), the first person who tells me they want it and can meet me in Vegas to pick it up can have it.

Due to Cheick Kongo's atrocious takedown defense....

Would love to piggyback a Virginia viewing UFC 100 thing along with this, tired of going to bars or watching events at home.

Same here, anyone else on BloodyElbow in the NoVA/DC area? Anyone?

I live in Fredericksburg, can access just about any place in VA except far west.

Well since it looks like there’s no one else, where do you usually go?

by Zack Gobie on Jul 3, 2009 4:59 PM EDT up reply actions

I have been ordering the PPVs, I have breathing issues at times and going to bars usually makes me sick as a dog for a few days. Paying $45 is worth not having to deal with that.

I’m patiently waiting for someone to realize that this event would be nothing without me there. I’m now willing to accept any seat, even in the nosebleeds. Also, I’ll ride Greyhound.

I’m willing to ride Greyhound with Subo to keep him company. :) And i also will not be picky about my ticket.

no

troy sucks

If its your first year at troy, let me advise you to RUSH!! rush rush rush. I didn’t and I hated my time there. Its a school that has an almost completely dormant independent population. Pledge sigma chi or ATO. Lambda Chi are a bunch of drunken stoners, TKE’s house is for people are… strange, and Delta Chi is a cooler version of lambda chi. People say farmhouse wrestles naked and makes you do the elephant walk so i might stay away from them.

i dont know how to send personal messages but if you do and want to, send me a message, i’d like to talk to you once you get up there.

i’m game. we are staying at the Tropicana from wed til sundday

by littlenicky2355 on Jul 3, 2009 4:39 PM EDT reply actions

For God's sake don't eat there!!!

Especially the Pizzas that they have on their “order to the room” service; when I first went out to Vegas for ’84, I ended up stuck in the bathroom for several hours.

The Tropicana has had a few publicised issues with health scares. In July of last year, they had to relocate 300 guests to other hotels on account of a contaminated water supply.

Okay, so these things are probably all sorted by now but I had to pass on a note of caution all the same.

Its not a bad place to stay, usually good rates and nice room. Wicked pool.
There is no reason to east anything other than awesome food in vegas though.

I dislike Matt Hughes and Twidder.

I’m game too. I’m staying at the New York, New York from Thursday through Sunday. After the weigh-ins works for me since I will be too busy at the Expo chasing Arianny around! I’ll be at the fight in Sec. 115!
