This isn’t bad at this stage of his career but i hope he forgets the boxing stuff.

So he's still holding out that idea
“First I want to thank everybody that supported me to reach my goal of becoming the DREAM grand prix champion,” Mousasi stated. “I see this title as the stepping stone to accomplish my real desire, and that is to also become the world champion in boxing.”
I had hoped he might have let that desire go.
It ends in an armbar or a strangle regardless.
I knew he would sign with strikeforce for this reason alone. He said he wanted to fight in the UFC but later in his career. Good Luck with the boxing your going to need it. Everytime a MMA guy steps in a boxing ring and gets his ass kicked MMA loses. Your not going to beat a Boxer in boxing. Fighting yes Boxing No.
"Frank Mir had a horseshoe up his ass. I told him a year ago. I pulled it out of him and I beat him over the head with it." Brock Lesnar
To be fair, he does have boxing in his background, he just never went beyond youth events. I’m not saying he’ll be a success, but it is something that he’s worked on in the past.

"Worked on" and "Worked on your whole life"
Two totally separate situations.
What is up with these dude's wanting to box?
I get it, it’s a dream of theirs. But boxing is done son! By the time any MMA fighter makes a name for themself in boxing, it won’t even be doing pay per views anymore.

This is nowhere near as close to a reality as you seem to think it is. If boxing never being on PPV again were the destination, that location would be in New Zealand and boxing would be starting the trip in Alaska, headed east. Walking.
