I'm sure many of you remember Weoweoweo's recap of URCC XIV: Aggression from the Philippines. The main event featured A.J. Aguon of Guam against the URCC welterweight champion Eduard Folayang. Here's an interview from Kuam Sports with A.J. showing his take on the fight and some clips as well: A.J. Aguon Interview

wow? they think the won the fight? really now..
and they used the cut as an argument? did you see the guy’s face before and after the fight??
And Folayang being a posterboy is a reason he won? give me a break..they sound really bitter man..
man i gave him credit for being tough and staying in there, but honestly, he never won a round.. He got his shots in, and it really tested folayang, which i thank him for, but I’m sorry, folayang won a clear cut decision..
np, I really wish I could see this fight so I can make my own judgement. Did solar sports showed the replay of this? If they did, I hope somebody recorded it and will upload the fights. I hear the Caloy Baduria fight had a funny ending with both fighters unable to get up due to exhaustion lol.

i never got why Baduria gets that much praise.. nothing great standing up, not good on his back, and not good cardio..
although, he did a lot of damage with those body shots to his opponent.. he couldn’t stand up even minutes after when baduria was celebrating.
and trust me dude, aguon didn’t win a round, let along the fight.. First round, as he said even, folayang almost finished him on the ground.. Round 2, folayang got a couple of takedowns, controlled him, and scored points while pounding on him.. Stand up wise, it was close, aguon landed some shots but nothing really strong that affected eduard much.. the volume of shots, and the number of power punches still went to folayang..
More kicks, punches, and powershots, plus takedowns and gnp.. AJ was a warrior and was real tough, but there wasn’t any home town cooking that happened.. I had 2/3rds of the fight on a crappy camera and i watched it twice after.. AJ should be more classy and should accept his loss..

Yeah, I saw some videos of Baduria and I wasn’t impressed either. I’m guessing Aguon and his team really wished that the fight was stopped due to the cut. Unless there’s another great fighter from Guam/Saipan, I think a rematch is in order only because he’s the only fighter to take Folayang to a decision.

I hope they'd get Guam/saipan's 155lb champ..
Folayang’s UFC dreams would be closer to reality with higher credentialed and tougher opponents.

Team lakay post
I’m not sure but this post on their site seems like a response to AJ Aguon’s view of the fight.
