"The cancellation took our company completely by surprise, as Fedor Emelianenko, M-1 Challenge fighter Mikahil Zayats, and a traveling party of 35 people from Russia consisting of Fedor's trainers, friends, family, as well as M-1 support personnel were all on a plane en route to Anaheim."
"Additionally, Fedor did not learn of the cancellation until arriving at the airport and informed directly by M-1 legal counsel."
"M-1 Global understands and shares the disappointment being expressed by many fans that Fedor will not be able to compete on Aug. 1 as scheduled. However, we will work to ensure that Fedor returns to active competition as soon as possible."

Most likely on a plane paid for by Affliction due to contractual obligations. All 35 people.

Its going to be really interesting which route Fedor and his management will take. I bet they’ll continue to punk out and not sign with the UFC. Its funny how the UFC contract is signed by all these other fighters like Anderson, Lyoto, Georges, B.J., Randy, but not Fedor.

At this point, Fedor will look like he’s ducking Brock is he signs anywhere else. That is the fight we all want to see.

He did get on a plane without an actual opponent. He had to have known this scenario was possible. I wonder how much money Affliction still owes Fedor.

Somehow, I get the feeling that Fedor is the last to know about many things concerning his career.
If you're not submitting, you're just rolling around with another guy.
