The Iron Sheik is one of the worst human beings on the planet. I hate, hate, hate this “oh he’s crazy, it’s hilarious” shit. Stop paying attention to the miserable old turd

Carano’s the underdog? Really?

by FRANKIE on Jul 21, 2009 11:13 AM EDT reply actions

Yep...

which makes her one of the greatest no-brainer bets ever

Why is Cyborg favored? Is it because she looks more muscular and, well, manly? Don’t mean that as a put down, just trying to figure out why exactly Gina is an underdog.

I have no clue...

I honestly think the odds should be flipped. I don’t know if it is the “weight concerns” or what

You have that little confidence in Cyborgs ability? I think she should be favored by a little.

Doesn't anybody think before they speak/post anymore?

I think her and Carano do the same thing and Cyborg’s better at it.

I rate Cyborg’s ability about the same as I rate other Cyborg’s ability. Both are classic Chute Boxe fighters, winging wild hooks and hoping to overwhelm their opponents quickly because if they don’t they’ll gas badly.

Now don’t get me wrong, I don’t think Carano’s the greatest fighter out there either. Still, she won’t be a wildly undersized grappler or an MMA debutante like most of Cyborg’s opponents.

Brent,

You’ve got issues, man. I’m guessing you’re a mark for the Golden Boy and are still upset about the Camel Clutch he threw on the Hulkster.

As for me, it was the Von Erich’s of the WCCW that were the top of the food chain ‘cause that kind of wrasslin’ was REAL, not that phony WWF stuff.

No…I just hate that he’s a racist, homophobic old asshole and everyone acts like he’s a superhero because they think it’s funny.

Brent,

The guy never leaves character. Ever.

I’m surprised you haven’t figured this out yet.

How silly would he look going out of character even for a minute? It’s like the flyin’ Mexicans in Lucha Libre, their “mask” is everything. Without it, they’re nothing (well at least according to them.)

Maybe you should read up on some of the stories about him out there. The dude was my hero as a young kid but that doesn’t make me blind to the type of person he is. He’s not in character or acting, that’s how he really is.

Links? Sources? I’m willing to listen.

Until otherwise, I remain unconvinced and retain my mark status.
