I don’t think people who don’t find him funny just don’t understand what he’s doing.
Personally, I used to watch him when he got his own show, and enjoyed it, and slowly over time the schtick got more and more annoying.

I get what he’s doing, I just don’t think it’s funny anymore.

He reveals absurdities in political logic and takes no prisoners. He takes the ideas promoted by people and brings them to their logical conclusion, which is often something completely bizarre. I also like his acting & how he stays in character the whole time and rarely breaks it.

Interestingly, many conservatives think he’s a legit conservative pundit, lightly poking fun at their ideas instead of mocking them.
