Ken Shamrock and Insane Clown Posse- MMA Seminar @ The Gathering

And we give Brock Lesner a hard time....

I will, too some degree, withhold expressing my disdain for the "rap" group Insane Clown Posse, and just hope that the good taste of the Bloody Elbow community finds this as funny as I do.

According to the "infomercial" for the 10th annual Gathering of the Juggalo's (which is a Psychopathic Records showcase of musical acts such as the flagship Insane Clown Posse, and special guests such as Coolio), MMA legend and former UFC star Ken Shamrock will be performing and giving an MMA seminar.

How desperate can poor Ken be to bring himself to this level? The language and general production value of this infomercial, and the use of the term "ninja" to replace a popular racial epithet should clue those of you lucky enough to be uninitiated into the world of "juggalos" in to how absurd and terrible this really is.

(brief Ken Shamrock footage at about 12:20 of the video below)

The blonde is pretty fucking cute and clearly has never listened to an ICP album in her life.

Can’t stand ICP, only time I ever got a kick out of their music was if a friend of mine wanted me to hear a song he thought was funny…but it’s hard to think that there are swarms of people who really jam this shit. Ugh.

But, on topic…Ken, what the hell are you doing man…

Exciting stuff

What a better way to cap off a week of HARDCORE11 music than playing some inflatable games and watching “dudes on stilts”.

Im sure ken has had a relationship with these guys since they were both in the WWF at the same time. And if they want to pay him to do a seminar I really dont see the big deal with him doing it. Couldnt do anything but help him and other fighters out with possibly bringing more fans/money to the sport. What bothers me even more is the ignorant comments left on this post. Everyones got the right to listen to what they want. A bunch of tough MMA bloggers trying to hide the fact that they listened to these guys in high school is what i suspect.

If someone has the right to make a damn fool of themselves, I have the right to make fun of them.

Anyone who thinks that wearing makeup and a bad haircut makes them special instead of working hard to develop a skill or talent will have to endure smartass comments from me ad nauseum.

PS: If someone was at one time an ICP fan, that would make them knowledgeable on the subject of ICP fans, and therefore by definition not ignorant.

Taking these pictures of “their fans” alongside your comment is like some politician taking the picture of the “Just Bleed” fan from UFC 1 and many others just as bad as him, and saying that MMA fans are all bloodthirsty rednecks and it must be banned. Or better yet Floyd Mayweather just recently said “MMA is for drunk white people who cant fight.” I don’t see much of a difference in your stance against this.

What makes you think the fans in these pictures would be the ones attending the seminar. Ive been to their shows when i was in High School and its one of the most diverse group settings I have ever been apart of. That fact that is was in Los Angeles probably played a big part of that but nonetheless, there were lots of down to earth people from all walks of life and actually young soldiers (I remember meeting a few Navy Seals at a show) who enjoyed their music. So you my friend are surely ignorant if you think your idea of an ICP fan represents the majority.

Speaking of ignorance, that guy was from UFC 15, not 1.

yes i am ignorant of when that pic was taken. I was probably in middle school. Just using the picture itself as an example of people finding one bad seed and summing up an entire group of people based around it.

Because every person involved in this glorified cult that I’ve met, which is more than have wanted to, have been overweight white trash. Maybe it didn’t start out that way, but it’s nothing more than a rag-tag of people who use it as an excuse for not contributing anything of worth to society.

Ive stated my opinion. No need to keep bickering over it. This will be my last post on this thread and my annoying ass will leave you guys alone. I just dont find it logical to state facts about an entire group from the few you have met. I see this in racist, sexist, and religious propaganda all the time. Having been there before I know otherwise but its pointless to keep beating a dead horse.

by reciprocal on Jul 22, 2009 12:26 AM EDT reply actions

These comments are ridiculously serious… Honestly, why the hell is it a big deal about the demographics of ICP’s fans? Who gives a flying fuck.
