Rich Franklin vs. Dan Henderson at UFC 103
Per the good old UFC.com
Their first bout split the mixed martial arts community, making it obvious that they needed more than 15 minutes to settle their score. On Saturday, September 19th, UFC superstars Dan Henderson and Rich Franklin will meet again in the main event of UFC 103 at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas, with Henderson looking to make it 2-0 over the former middleweight champ, and Franklin trying to even things up with the former two division PRIDE champion.
Really? Why the hell do we need to see this again? I'm guessing it's at 205, but if it's another catchweight fight, like Silva/Franklin...color me unimpressed.

Nothing wrong with the fight, but dont expect alot of people to order this when Mayweather v Marquez is the same night. If it is free, then it is an awesome card. This isn’t the card I would have liked to use when going head to head with boxing.
Zuffa doesn’t want to waste money in a dick measuring contest with boxing probably.
Keep firing Assholes!
Thanks to Bisping's reenactment of the Battle of Cowpens, walla walla walla I'm an idiot.
I think that rematches are a big problem in boxing. When 2 guys meet up and they know that the only way they are going to make money is to fight each other, we get these very boring trilogies all the time. The UFC does a good job of having great fresh matchups and not having rematches unless the fans are really looking for it, and this does not really fit the bill. If Franklin wins, do I have to buy another PPV headlines by them?
Meh.
Why do this, especially when their first fight wasn’t that long ago?

Franklin Won?
Because a lot of people, including me, think Franklin got robbed in their first fight.
Doesn’t make much since unless the UFC is trying to capitialize on Hendo’s knockout.
Since their fight Franklin fought Silva to a decision and Hendo knocked out Bisping – so Dan would be the draw for this fight – hopefully its on Spike

man i live in ft. worth
and was really looking forward to going to this, but there is no way in hell they will sell out the AAC with this shitty card, I will still go if I get free tix, and might even pay for some, but just to see Mirko, I am as disappointed today, as I was excited the day I found out they were FINALLY coming to dallas
You’re crazy. Do you even like MMA??? Rich Franklin v.s. Dan Henderson is within driving distance and you’re not going to go. People piss me off. Maybe not the main event everyone wanted, but c’mon. I wish I could drive to this show comfortably. I drive 7 hours every year to Columbus and no matter who’s on the card, it is more than worth it.

Me too man
I live in Houston and this is the first card they’ve done in Texas since I became a fan; I was really considering making the drive to see this event.
I was also gonna see Condit fight in Corpus, but then they got rid of the welterweight division. I’m glad he moved to the UFC, but still annoyed that I didn’t get to see him.
I agree that there's really no need for this re-match...BUT
Hendo probably gained a whole bunch of new fans after KO’ing Bisping and the UFC’s looking to capitalize on that by having him headline a PPV soon after.
Add to the mix the the fact that Franklin has been very vocal with his disapproval over the way the decision went last time, and has mentioned his desire for a rematch several times, Additionally Rich just spent a weekend in Las Vegas working out his new contract with the Zuffa brass, and probably asked for a rematch as one of the terms.
Okay
This absolutely better be on Spike.
There is no way this card is going to outdraw or come close to the Mayweather/Marquez card if that’s what they’re delivering.
Not sure there is any point in this re-match.

Damn, what happened to Cane? We just saw this fight, I was looking forward to a fight that meant something.
At least Nick won’t have to crop 2 weigh-in pics for this. He can just use the UFC 93 one.

In case anyone was wondering
Hendo will be going back up to 205 for this one, according to MMA Weekly Makes sense, as Franklin made it clear that he wants to stay at 205 permanently, while Hendo seems to have no problem going back and forth.
Franklin's Contract
Rich has talk recently about his contract and wanting a new one before he gets back into the octagon. I can see him asking for this rematch with hendu since he was upset with the outcome. I bet we hear something about his new contract soon too.
But Franklin said on this week’s episode of ESPN.com’s MMA Live that it’s way too early to determine his next step because first he needs to renegotiate his contract.

Damnit I wanted Cane
Dan is a consummate professional and a company man. I’m sure this wasn’t his idea.
Hendo will win again.

Same here.
I thought that Banha/ Franklin would’ve been a great matchup.

It’s nowhere near the logical consistency of Werdum/Overeem.
I mean seriously – one is a rematch of a hotly contested split decision and the other is a guy coming off of a loss getting a title shot as his first fight with a new organization.

LOL at Subo complaining everywhere about the SF HW class, which they are just reviving this year.

Dude, I don’t mind them having a HW class, but the idea that it’s champion is Fedor-worthy kills me, and the idea that Werdum should be getting this shot is insane.

Very excited for the rematch now if only we can get a Condit/Kampman and Sanchez/Guida rematches by the end of the year I might get the 3 worse decision of the year out my system.
Franklin won the first fight and was robbed of the victory by horrible judges, i’m all for seeing him make things right in the rematch. People really are out of their minds sometimes how in the world is Frankling vs. Cane in anyway a better fight than Franklin/Hendo 2?.
UFC 103 is shaping up to be another really good card from Zuffa, it’s amazing how much people will bitch online while the rest of the UFC fans will probably eat this up the disconnect sometimes between fans is amazing.
the only one I think could have gone either was Condit/Kampmann

All 3 of those decisions were horrible which is a shame because all 3 fights were good just ruined by idiotic judges who had their heads up their asses.
How was Diego-Guida a horrible decision?
Some people might say that winning a fight makes you a better fighter but I don’t agree with that.- BlueberryMuffin
It wasn’t, but I scored it for Guida. Kampmann/Condit was such an insanely close fight that I don’t know how you can cry about it one way or the other.
The robbery of the year, thus far, is Uno/Fisher.

Donger was robbed in the Karo fight too, although that decision was scrubbed.

Yeah, that’s why I didn’t bring it up, but Dong won the shit out of that fight.
