Filho Back?
Seeing Melvin pummeling Filho made it seem like Paulo was seeing Jesus after those punches, even if he was sober and recovered. But, Filho is as dominant on the ground as Melvin is on the feet. Filho did look to be in good shape physically. What do you all think? Is Paulo Filho back? Let’s see him fight the winner of Mayhem/Jacare.

I had the opposite reaction
Paulo looked bad on his feet and got stuffed on several takedowns. Of course at the end he was brilliant, but I don’t want to get too excited.

Melvin almost KO’d him, and this was how I expected this fight to go if Filho won. Filho is a way better grappler than Manhoef obviously.

ha, yeah. that thought did cross my mind as soon as i clicked “post”. it’s a shame manhoef doesn’t gain some more experience on the ground though. combined with his striking, he could be really dangerous.

The ref in the Aoki fight needs glasses, Aoki was grabbing gloves like a madman in that fight. Almost pulled on off.

Good to see Filho apparently back on track with his life, after the Sonnen fight problems.

Although flunitrazepam (rohypnol) has become widely known in USA for its use as a date-rape drug, it is used more frequently as a recreational drug. It is used by high school and college students, rave party attendees, and heroin and cocaine users (who call a dose of flunitrazepam a “roofie”) for recreational purposes, including:
* To produce profound intoxication (Kurt Cobain overdosed on a mixture of flunitrazepam and champagne several weeks before his death)
* To increase sedative effect in combination with heroin, or ease the anxiety and/or sleeplessness of withdrawal
* To counteract the side effects of stimulants (e.g. insomnia, paranoia, jitteriness)
* To “soften” the so-called “crash” which follows heavy usage of stimulants, such as cocaine or methamphetamine

Had my boy Zaromskis the whole way. Just wish my connection didn’t turn to poo yesterday so I could’ve watched it live.

it was dicey standing up
the first time they hit the ground it was bad new but the second time we all knew it was over. I wouldn’t mind seeing Filho vs Lindland or Shields

So Filho comes to the US, and goes soft, looking pudgy and bewildered during fights. He then goes back to Japan, looks ripped & strong. While I’m not one to beat the accusatory drum, this is too much for me not to cry ’Roids! unless be begins passing drug tests.

![Gegard Mousasi: "Paulo Filho is on Steroids"
"What happened when [Filho] came to America, he got beat up really bad. Now he’s back in Japan and he feels like a kid in a candy story, I think. He can use all kinds of steroids, and I think the steroids have gone to his head… didn’t perform the same as he does in Japan as he does in America.
And now he suddenly has a big mouth again. I would say that he’s a little donkey that, he’s on steroids, he thinks he’s a running horse. But, he’s more like a little pony. I really believe that he used steroids. He also backed out a couple of times when he had to fight Chael Sonnen. He said he was crazy. Maybe he is crazy. I don’t know. I think he wasn't feeling very good mentally because he cannot use his magic stuff."
