Antoni Hardonk personally foiled a mugging in L.A. this week, duking it out with the would be robbers as they menaced several citizens. Kevin Iole has the story.

I freaking love to hear stories like this. I like to think my years of training could be put to good use outside of random sporting tournaments. I’m certainly no professional fighter, but I would hope that I’d have the heart to defend a stranger in need if the situation arose.

Well crap. When you’re a superhero in the UFC, you disappear forever. I cite Aquaman, aka Goran Reljic.

That’s what the fuck I’m talking about!
Hardonk just earned a special place in my heart after hearing this. Though it’s easier to walk away, and usually the smarter thing to do, I love it when that inner hero comes out.
I commend him, and wish great things for him. One great quote that comes to mind is “The worst sin is the apathy of good men”, or something to that effect. We should all keep that in mind. Help your fellow man/woman whenever possible. There’s no greater thing we can do in this life. (imo)
Three cheers for Antoni!

He's a great person
Hardonk has got to be one of the nicest people you could meet. He would do what he could for anyone…. I don’t think the guy has anyone who doesn’t like him….. except for those three clowns who tried to mug him…..

I expect most people, including myself, would have just handed over the money or walked away, especially when outnumbered, and really, that would have been the smart thing to do. But most people aren’t 6’4 with a leg kick that would cripple a man for weeks. Good on Hardonk for standing up for a complete stranger. The world would be a much better place if more people helped each other out. I’ve never been too keen on him as a fighter, but this basically made me a fan of his. It’s good to hear stories like this.
I love me some Sexyama!
