Sonnen is a great obstacle to throw at Okami because he’ll force the fight and Yushin won’t be able to win on controlling position.

Sonnen and Okami generally utilize the same style in taking their opponents down, not passing their guard and pounding away. It will be interesting to see if they can do that or use a different strategy.

I love seeing two strong wrestlers scramble for top control. I could see yushin hanging back (shocker) and chael trying to win it on the feet though, that’s where it go all go horribly wrong.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Okami submit Sonnen

Yushin hasn’t really shown much BJJ in the past, but he did nearly tap Franklin with a kimura when he decided to wake up at the end of their fight, and he has submitted guys earlier in his career.

He’s far too big and strong for Sonnen to hold down as he did to Dan Miller, and that’s if he can even get Okami down. I’m sure Okami isn’t very flashy off his back, but if he gets on top of Sonne, maybe he’ll actually try to pass guard for once and hunt for an arm-triangle or a RNC, knowing that Sonnen’s sub defense is lacking.

Okami is way bigger than Sonnen so I think he takes it. First Dan Miller and now Sonnen? Why not make him fight someone ranked a bit higher. Hell Wilson Gouveia would be a good fight
