"Roger Gracie postpones his MMA fight at Strikeforce. He's taking care of his 3-week son Tristan, and hasn't been able to rest and train."
From GracieMag's Twitter feed.
This isn't the first time Roger has backed out of a fight late.

I want to be angry, but I can’t fault him for taking care of his kid…

Yea, but it’s not like he just found out 3 weeks ago that he was having a kid…

Did he even have an opponent set up yet?

Dude is tired and wants to take care of his kid well instead of getting his ass kicked for having his priorities straight. I for one cant fault him.
Might as well blame him for having the last name Gracie…
If the MMA press gets their panties in anymore of a bunch about this, they are just being irresponsible.

It is not that he is being bashed for taking care of his child but more the fact that he seems to be in a pattern on dropping out of fights at the last minute. I believe it is unprofessional.

Tristan?
Someone in the family isn’t happy about that.

No, I think it's T. Ristan Gracie
and they’re calling the boy “Histan.”

DAMNIT!!!
I freakin’ knew it! Roger is the biggest tease since my 9th grade girlfriend.
I can’t fault him for putting family first, but at this point, just stick to BJJ.

A 3 week old child equates to no rest at night and a lot of things to do during the day that are more important than training, he also has Drysdale coming up in his future for the ADCC superfight and doesn’t need to get himself injured.
Maybe his management should try to work his scheduling better, however Strikeforce is pretty low on his priority list I assume.

I can't believe it!
Oh my god! Shock, stun, horror!
All I’ve said for months is that I’ll believe Roger fights for Strikeforce when I actually see it.
